SVT2GO,

Cool pics! I will take some pictures of mine soon, looks pretty much the same except I have clear corner lenses, and I'm still waiting for my black billet grilles. I've also got the Cervinis ram air hood on order, it's gonna look MEAN!

Not meaning to be an a**hole, but these windshield decals are a riceboy trademark. Where do we draw the line?

Next thing, we'll be seeing coffee can exhausts and spoilers and little shorty wheels and pink windshield wiper blades.

Just say no to any Lightning mod that you can see from the outside, unless it costs at least $1,000

Flame me if you need to. I probably deserve it.

BadDog,

I have to disagree with you there. Does that mean the Lightning pace trucks are too ricer as well? Windshield decals have always been around, just like dark tinted windows. Just because the ricers do it doesn't mean no one else can anymore. Especially when we actually have something under the hood to show for it! Now if it wasn't an SVT and you put an SVT decal there, just because you like the looks - that's a different story.

Just my .02 . . .

Brimstone.

IMO, header decals are in the "look at me!" category, which (also IMO) is exactly the ricer motivation.

Bug deflectors, visors and Yosemite Sam reflectorized mud flaps "have always been around", too. Are those in good taste on a Lightning?

I certainly don't put these decals in the "bad taste" category, but I'm not craziy abou them either. I think the beauty of the Lightning is its subtlety. It is aggressively appealing without resorting to ostentation.

Okay I got this from the Ford Mustang Club Strictly 5.0 home page, this is the intro picture:
" "

Does it qualify in the "look at me" category? yes. But I wouldn't say it's "ricer motivated."

The other day I raced an old muscle car, a yellow Mustang with a bold black stripe down the middle and cowl induction hood. I noticed him more, and he noticed me more because of my decal, and we had lots of fun doing 100 on the street.

Just wanted to add that I don't know anything about this club other than it's striclty for 5.0 Mustangs - and all I'm trying to say is there's nothing wrong with being proud of your vehicle. If you don't like the way it looks, that's cool, but as far as I'm concerned it's not one of those "all show no go" type things, which is what I would qualify as "ricer motivated."

I sure as hell am not ashamed to be be proud of what Ford, SVT and any others involved have produced. I mean the decal says SVT, not "Intense Emotion" or some BS like that.

Mike

Hey I'm really getting the hang of posting pics now! Here's a cool one from the Steeda webpage with a windshield decal:

Cool

I want one that says AMBIANCE backwards. Most people will think it say Ambulance and get out of the way of my red truck. Not illegal either.
