IMO, I don't find the windsheild banners distasteful. I have a "Lightning" decal waiting to be installed as soon as my new L arrives. As was said in an earlier post, Steeda's as well as Saleen's have banners on them. I like them because when you're waiting at a red light and some guy in a hot car see the banner, you know he'll want to try you on. Without the banner he may not notice the L behind him.

You have a problem though. If the decal is on the windshield, it will only be visible from other trucks in front of you, and as we know, other trucks are not good meat.
If you want drivers in hot cars to see that you have an L, you'll have to get down to their level. You need to get yourself a bug deflector with a Lightning decal, too.
This is all in good fun, by the way, so I hope I don't really offend anybody. A little bit maybe.

Oh well, I don't care, I admit it, I don't drive my Lightning unless I'm out looking for fun, so yes I do want to be seen, and challenged! Are you against all yellow and red sports cars as well? And definitely a factory cruiser like the Prowler, and that Viper with those racing stripes - whew! Stands out way too much! LOL.
Allright we're just talking about a windshield decal here but still - I think to classify ANYTHING that catches attention as ricer motivation is funny, but a bit on the "ricer-phobic" side. The only time I criticize ricers is when it's all show and no go. Also you contradict yourself by saying it's a "look at me!" thing while at the same time saying it will be hard for most cars to see. And how did you know about my bug deflector?

Don't forget Roush places windshield Deacals as well. They are not very noticeable so I had one made so I could be seen. I want people to know that my truck is a Roush. I still get the stupid, "Is that a Lightning" questions. Hell had a Ford sales guy at a dealership ask me that.

Jared had my truck yesterday *and I had his Talon...glad to have my truck back lemme tell ya'* Just kiddin' Sweetie, anyhow...he hooked my truck up with tinted windows...and that includes the darkened visor and I think it looks TUFF and yes, I do plan on taggin' the visor...with what though I am not quite sure...Maybe Angel & Lil Girl Racing, maybe SVT, Maybe Bully Racing *hehe Jared* but the point is...if I do, that's allllll me. And I'll go to Blue for the tag...Everybody is entitled to their opinion of how a Lightning should look, but unless you are making somebody else's payments or are praising them, there's really no need to share. Besides, what the hell difference does it make? We go by at blinding speeds, who the hell is ever going to see it anyway? Hehe

If you didn't want to be noticed then you bought the wrong truck!
I would have to agree with you on the fact that windshield banners grab attention. Duh!!! What the hell else would it be there for.
Also, the only thing that would classify you as a ricer is if you had 50 more stickers to go with the one on your windshield.
Don't like something, don't do it! Plain and simple!
