mp3 player
I'd check mp3.com . They have listings for most of the mp3 players on the market. I have an empeg in my truck, although there are cheaper alternatives. I've also heard of people re-tasking the i-opener network appliance if you're linux-savvy.
Lets see 78's, 45's, 8 tracks, 4 tracks, CD'S, and now another one. Heck, I haven't even upgraded to a CD R drive yet! And I really was looking forward to putting my old 45s in my own order on custom CDs.

Also some of the major CD player manufacturers will be offering a CD player that will play CD's with MP3 song files recorded onto them. (you sure can burn a lot of MP3's onto a CD). Just be careful this market is changing fast. Todays player could be yesterdays news just that fast.
