Post Intercooler

Ok, this intercooler thing is worrisome. It seems a lot of our people here are having problems with it leaking. How many of you folks reading these threads are NOT having intercooler leaks at this time? So far mine is not leaking, but I'm not liking the odds based on the previous long and troubling thread.

No problems here, and the moose took my first one right up the *$$. What color is the fluid supposed to be? I see a darkish green and if their workmanship on the rest of the vehicle tells me anything, I am a little worried.

8000 miles and still on original issue fluid.
Bear in mind that I do not do a lot of serious racing, mostly street type stuff with not a lot of stress on the vehicle/motor.
I am going to try a few runs at a not too local drag strip this month, and will report the results as regards loss of fluid if any.

Cool

It's a little early for me to judge, (1080 mi.), however, if I may speak 'out of turn', I do know that Reality 1 does not have any coolant loss, (99.5 L). I think I'm losing more fluid than him. I do monitor it every day.

Later, Jake...

Just got mine back from dealer for dead miss under hard accel. It was the #4 coil on plug. The coolant leaked on it due to loose hose clamp. Coolant level never dropped enough to notice, but took it in ASAP at first signs or symptoms of leakage. Thanks to all the fellow F-150 on-liners I got to save her before it did any real damage. Sometimes early detection can save lives. Oops! Forgot this a truck I'm talking about. Ha! Ha!

My intercooler started losing fluid last week. About 1.5" gone out of reservoir. 16000 miles on the odometer. Thought I was passed all this. Does not seem to be dropping fast, though.
Do you think it will heal itself? hehe

Mine started around 9000 miles, I now have 12500 on the truck.

99SVT,
How does the truck feel, any difference? I also have a slow leak but power is awesome

Almost 11k miles and no problems, no leaks. The entire underside of my truck is a s clean as the day it was built (yes, I do wash it). I have run the devil out of mine at the track and still have no problem. I only hope it will continue so.....

Spiro99SVT,
truck still runs great. I'm not taking it to the dealer until I know for sure that is what the problem is. Hate going to the dealer, truck always comes back with a little scratch or scuff, ya'll know what I'm talking about.
