5K here, never been to the dealer, and no coolant loss so far (Knock on Wood). The only known problem is the dread front end clunk...I too hate to take it to the dealer!!

Jerrod,
I would`nt let the reservoir get too low.Now that I know my SVT is leaking I keep it full up the hot-line when cold. I think my SVT likes to drink anti-freeze

5200 miles and no intercooler problems that I know of. Truck runs like a champ. Biggest problem was front-end "clunk" and occasional loud "bang" noises. Had to get two Lightning specific lower control arms.

17,000 miles, down about 1 1/2". First add. Is there an acceptable loss rate? No visible leaks.

Cool

17,000+ miles. Added 16 oz. to get back to the middle mark for the first time last weekend. I have noticed no leaks in the hose connections.

Question

I don't have a leak yet. I was wondering has anyone tried a sealant yet? I know it's not the best answer, but. I asume that the inner cooler and i.c. radiator are made of aluminum? I had problems with one of my dirt bikes leaking all the time, and used stuff called alumaseal<sp>. It was in a small tube, I only put in a cap full and it fixed it. I'm not telling you to do it, just asking what your thought's might be on this?
If I were in your shoes, I think I would give it a shot.

I've wondered about those stop leak products. They may stop leaks but do they reduce the effectiveness of a cooling system?
