Integra gets "struck" down!
On the way to a local hobby store(to check for the elusive Bburago L) I was at a light waiting to go into the hobby store lot when a blk something blows by! Hmmmm. It's go time. Outta the turn lane after the target! I catch him at next light(traffic in front)and upon inspection it appears to be an Integra,no badging, the infamous "coffee can" and ground effects galore. It takes us a couple of lights to get loose but when we do...Just another victim. I musta' kicked this kid around for 3 miles. Finally at a light he wants it from a stop. I'm sorry to say he had me for about 8 feet while I stomped hard and took my baby a bit side ways, when I hooked up...Lets just say severe electrical burns

I showed this post to guy at work who owns a 1990 Acura Integra. It wasn't more than a week or so ago he was talking about how he thinks his Acura could beat my L (of course he has no idea what a Lightning can really do). He told me how he beat a z28 when he first bought his Acura (I didn't call him on that one even though it is hard to believe).
He says he is stock.
Anyway, he assures me that you must have been mistaken and this could not have been an Acura Integra you raced. Surely you could not have beaten an Integra, I mean they redline at 8000 rpm and how could your 360+ hp and 440+ lb/ft of torque deal with that? Not to mention the 'superior' handling of an Acura, which everyone knows really helps your acceleration.
I have to work with this guy everyday. The things I put up with.
He says we will race 'one day'. I have never lost a race in my L, but the mighty Integra just might be my match. Yeah right.

Didn't pinch him. I don't like to get too close
He understood that this was an Integra not an NSX. He is basically a goofball. Did I forget to mention that?

Dave,
To quote Bggrath-"Hit him over the head(w/ an Eaton S/C!
),and wake him from his dream." I suggest sandbagging for the first run if you guys ever race and then kick him around like I kicked that kid around on Sunday! "Integra's RULE! They RULE!" -Beavis(of Beavis & Butthead)
And what's w/ the Sgt at Arms thing guys???

IMO the Integra's arent worth the gas you will spend wastin him, but it would be worth the price of admission to see the look on the guys face as he gets "struck" by you truck. As a side note place a little bet with him that you will just smoke him, I sure would & then take his money as you show him what a real engine looks like.

My Integra Type R runs mid 6's to 60 stock.
Mid to low 14's in the quarter.
These are pretty much wrung out for horses from the factory.
195 horse about 145 ft #.
The Integra GS-R is @ about 170 horse.
Jackson racing makes a Eaton SC kit for these. Adds about 70 HP to a GS-R and only 40-50 on the Type R.
When Boosted these cars can run with the Trucks.
Ya'll know alot of ricegrinders are gonna run the juice.

Twisted,Thanx for the warning on the Integras,I'll be sure to steer clear of your's if I ever make it to Ala
. Seriously though,I know the Type R's are pretty quick and you can mod the livin' heck outta them but I really doubt I'll run into any of them on the street here in PA. Most are owned by punk kids whose only mods are stickers and coffee cans.Oh yeah, and a BIG single wiper.I myself will be adding a big stripe that runs on an angle from the right corner of the hood all the way across to my driver side door. I'll also be adding some script across the tailgate that reads- "rightning"
