a friend of mine scanned the truck tonight and got code P1260 to come up which translates to theft detected vehicle disabled. i tried some searches but none really had any info on what to do for a fix. is this a dealer only issue????
if so how what is a reasonable time frame for them to reprogram the system and how much should expect to pay (money is tight and i don't want to get ripped off)
any help here would be greatly appreciated

I had the same code and cleared it with the predator.It still comes back but not that often.Did you have trouble starting the truck? Thats how I found mine.Every so often my truck would just keep turning over..I am going to switch my key and see if it still happens..

 

It takes time to reprogram, the programer has to wait from 15 to 30 minutes to clear itself before you can continue. You may want to let the truck set for a while and try you're other key you may be lucky and have a transponder problem in the key. You can also try unhooking the battery for an hour or so sometimes this will fix the problem. Good luck!!
