New member, not a Lightning owner...yet
Hello I dunno if ya'll saw my last post but Im new and dont have a truck yet. But Are the '00's out yet? And My BIG question is...Where can I buy one? I live in bel air marylnad...I went to towson ford like 2 weeks ago and they said they woldnt have any till summer, went to plaza ford in bel air, guy looked at me like I had two heads when I said I want a BLack or Silver Lightning, he said he'd never heard of it.....so WHERE TO GO GUYS?

The 00's are out! I took delivery of mine a week ago. I ordered it back in February, and it wasn't supposed to be here until April, but I got lucky.

The demand for these trucks is pretty high in most places. Ford makes approx 4000 a year. Good luck getting one.

I see you live in abingdon, I live in Bel Air. A friend of mine is the sales manager at Towson Ford. I know i can get you one a lot soon than the summer. In fact he has some coming in very soon. Call over to the dealership and ask for Bob Oneal. Tell him that you are a friend of mine and that I told you to call him. The other sales people are sometimes out of the loop. Let me know if you want to hook-up to see the bolt.

My salesman, Elmer Scott said they still have some that can be ordered. You can buy it from his dealer for under MSRP, and have it delivered to a dealer in your area. I ordered mine in mid January, and picked it up on 3/17/00.

GTPMAN98, if you are interested in other Maryland SVT dealers, there are at least two outside of Wash. DC. There is Crystal Ford on Route 29 at the big AutoPark, not too far from Burtonsville. I do not have the phone number handy. There is also Sheehy Ford in Gaithersburg Route 355. The number is 301-258-1015. Might help if you call to ask whomever in new car/truck sales handles SVT. Some dealships are specialized like that.
As of last Friday, Sheehy had seen no Lightnings except one customer special order that was in and out in a day.

dan, i purchased my lightning from bayshore ford in new castle delaware. they presently have a white 2000 in stock and also are expecting a silver. i prefer the white and if your coming to cecil on friday you can check mine out. if your interested in buying call bayshore and ask for rob wynne. he's a great guy. their # 302-656-3160.
