Hello all..

I have the AIM 2" drop shackle on my truck.. A good way to see how much drop you will get is to compare the AIM shackle to the original.. Line them up bolt hole to bolt hole.. that should be about the drop you get..

Also.. I am about to put a set of 2" springs up front and 2" hangers in the rear.. I will let you all know how that goes..

Hey guys,

I'm new to all this, so I have some dumb questions...

1) Why would you want to drop?
2) What the heck is a shackle?

Thumbs up

The drop shackle is a suspension part that connects the end of the leaf springs to the frame mount.

The reason we all wanted to do this to our beasts is: 1. Visual enhancement. The "even" look in the front and rear of the truck, vice the high rear end look. 2. The truck actually corners better when lowered in the rear. I really believe SVT would've done this at the factory if not for the payload capacity (800 lbs).

Cool

The ride quality is as good if not better as far as cornering goes, and the smoothness is exactly the same (no vibration).

Freak:

Cost is $49.00 plus shipping.

Everybody here seemed to have no problems installing, even the one's not named Joe..

Good Luck!
