Being the owner of both a 2000 vette and a lightning I get to enjoy both worlds. Our corvette club staged a vette autocross at an old airport. I drove my lightning to the event both days and let the vette folks wonder all weekend wonder just what it would do. Well after the autocross was over and the cones were picked up there laid over a qaurter mile of asphalt just waiting to play with. To be honest I was hoping to run an 94 vette but a fellow with a purple indy pace car come over wanted to know if I wanted to see what it would do. To be honest I was just wanting it to show good in front of all these vettes, true die hards. Well on the first run hate to say the tires went up in smoke and he beat me by a couple of car lenths but i noticed he never pulled on me after the start. Needless to say i wanted to try again. The second won proved a victory for the lightning yes by a car lenth was fun

That is impressive to say the least. Now you'll need to mod your Vette to outrun your Lightning, then when you do that, you'll have to mod your Lightning to beat your Vette. Boy, must be rough; do I drive the Lightning today or do I drive the C5?
