fang,

I have the SnugLid Tonneau cover with the clamp on system and it works great. ARE also makes a fine line of similar products. Painted, w/carpet underliner and installation, they run in the neighborhood of 700-1000 bucks.

The BudRug is the best investment I have made in the dressing of my truck. It wears like iron, doesn't stain, is comfortable to sleep on (my personal fav!), doesn't absorb water, and runs about $300. I have heard mixed reviews of the Steel Horse product that is similar, but it is cheaper.

Cool

I'm going with a Snuglid tonneau cover. Buying it in primer so I can block sand it to perfection. Paying $645 with the $20 internet discount. Bedrug runs $349 installed but not sure if I will get it. Thinking of doing my own version of the bedrug, so it'll look more custom. Making a Lightning logo to mount on the front of the bed.
Using the same carpet on the underneath of the tonneau cover.

Have a Swiss Patriot, nice, but heavy, I think it would be damn hard to break into.
It also has the flap over the tail gate to lock it too.
Cost:700-900

Same set-up as Wyldman here. Although I may be paying somewhat more, (only able to locate ONE Snug Lid dealer within a reasonable radius). $1348.00 for clamp-on Snug Lid & Bed Rug combo installed.

If you dont get a BedRug(tm) your missing out, this was my best investment as well, all padded with foam underneath that perfectley contours to every impressionon your bed. And there no point in getting it installed either, anyone can do it, its just zipped together at the creases and then put down with industrial velcro (extremely easy). Installation takes maybe 40 minutes.

Baby Jake,

It never hurts to haggle. I used other stores prices as a negotiating tool. Got about $150 off both Snuglid and Bedrug from the intital quote and got both installed for $30 bucks.

Well, might as well jump in here too.

I have the BedRug and A.R.E. combo. Absolutely love it! Lots of compliments. No problems at all in 8 months of use. Cost me $1,115.00 plus tax installed for both, including carpeting on the underside of the lid. Lifetime warranties on both the rug and the lid.

You can't go wrong with the BedRug and either the A.R.E. or SnugLid hard tonneau.

Mike
