Hey KGM...I'm visiting in Vegas for the weekend. I called to the SVT dealers here to see if they had any lightnings in stock...so I could look at one in person. I found one at Gaudin Ford. The salesman told me that it just came in...and that some guy is suppose to pay cash for it and pick it up today or monday. I'm headed down there to check it out

 

Want One...That's the truck I was talking about in post(Build Dates).I ordered my truck from Keith ???? He does all the ordering for Gaudin.Tell me if they let you sit in it,told me no so I did'nt go down.PS leave lots of money at the tables...it keeps our taxes low! Have fun in Vegas.

Want One...What color was that truck? Don't like it when a star gets cuts in line, who does he think he is anyway? Glad you had nice weather, come back soon.

 

The truck was my desired color of Black. He was supposed to pick it up on Saturday or today...Monday. But who knows...when you make that kinda money, I'm sure it's not as high of a priority....which translates to...he won't be near as excited to pick his truck up...as I will be when I pick mine up.
And your right...just cuz he's loaded doesn't mean he should get special treatment...but then again...Welcome to Reality !!!!

 

I talked to Rueben. I asked him to pop the hood, so he tried to locate the keys. When he came back he said that the keys were locked up in the office of one of the managers...who happened to be "off" for the weekend....so, I didn't get to see the engine or sit in it either. Also, as it turns out...the person who ordered the truck originally, backed out..so the truck was up for grabs. "Somehow" the Vegas entertainer "Danny Gans"..ended up paying cash for it. Figures huh !!! Anyway...the Lightning sure is a sharp truck. The only thing that I noticed was, even with the 18" wheels...it seemed to have a little too much clearance over the back wheels. I'm not into lowerering (or any mods for that matter) but I think that the truck should be lower in the back (it looks like the back tires are too small).
Oh, and one other thing about this particular truck....someone might want to advise Mr. Gans of the nice (nasty) scratch on the passenger door. If that were my truck...I wouldn't accept it...I'd make the the dealership fix it. AND I'd let them though that I was quite upset !!!! Plus they
put the front license plate bracket on it already...so even if you took it off now...you'd still have those darn drilled holes !!!
Hopefully I'll be able to purchase one of these bad boys soon.
Oh...and you gotta love that front air dam !!!
As for my the visit to your wonderful city...I didn't do any gambling as I was in town for a National softball tournament....and even if I did do any gambling...I don't think MY budget would have any impact on your taxes !!!
