Hey Lightning Bob, as of today, I too am a Lightning Bob! All I can say is WOW!

I noticed in a different thread that you have the manuals and wiring diagrams. I would like to order a set as well through Helm (www.helminc.com) but I can't figure out which ones to buy.

Would you please post the Manual part numbers?

I ordered the following:
1999 F-150-250 Truck Shop Manual is two volumes, each about 2 inches thick.
Part # FCS122729 $200 Make sure you tell them you have a Lightning, and you need the Lightning/ThuderBolt Supplement(FCS1122799S) No extra charge wth above. Ships separately, about 2 weeks later.
Wiring diagragm is FCS1226399 $60

I had the same problem online, so I called. Much easier. I assume the ones you'll want will end with 00 instead of 99.

Ok, here are the manual part numbers for the 2000's :

FCS122700 $200 Shop manual
FCS1226300 $60 Wiring diagram

The bad thing is that the person I spoke with was clueless about the Lightning/Thunderbolt supplement for the 2000 model year. After repeated questioning I gave up, they don't know anything about it, don't know when or if it is going to be updated, etc. They do have the 99 supplement... I got the Ford Customer Care number (800) 392-3673 but I gave up waiting after 10 minutes. I'll try again soon.

Chances are info ncluded in the 99 supplement, is now included in the 2000 shop manual. This was not the case for 99's because of the midyear introduction.
Let us know when you get your manuals.
