Well I guess I'll let the cat out of the bag. The reason that I can't make Firebird tonight is because I'm going to Speedworld. Here at Honeywell (formally AlliedSignal) we have an informal QMC (quarter mile club). Every year in the late winter we meet for our annual event. This year it is at Speedworld, and tonight is the night. Maybe I’ll see one or both of you there.

Hey AZ folks: What days of the week do they run at Firebird? I'm going to be in the area between April 16-21 and would like to link up with as many as I can and maybe we can do some benchracing, etc...

Only one (possibly big?) problem...I'll be flying in so the L will be several hundred miles away and I'll have a god-knows-what rental. BUUUT, since Firebirds' going to be so close to where I'll be at I'd like to come out one night and watch.

Is anyone going to be out there during that timeframe?

 

Peter...I was thinking of going to Speedworld tonight(test and tune night-times only)Let me know if you want to go.I could possibly join you at Firebird.

Every Friday night at Firebird, unless there is some kind of races scheduled for that weekend. Tech begins at 7:00 pm and the runs last till midnight.

 

Thanks for the reply. Looks like I may miss everyone as we get in Sunday morning (4/16) and we'll be leaving out Friday afternoon (4/21). Class is over Thurs evening.

If anyone's out on a cruise and would like to stop by, I'll give you the address for the hotel in Chandler. Look me up and we'll snag a cool one and do some benchracing --1st one is on me... <g>
