Yup, I need to know this. I do a lot of Highway driving.

Anyone notice a decrease in total mielage? The EGR delete already knocked the wind out of mine...don't know if I really want a single digit mpg truck.

I've ridden in l-menace's truck datalogging WOT blasts no less than 12 times.
So.. he's sitting on 28" tires with 4.10s and mine is on 31" tires with 3.73s.

There is a pretty healthy difference in first gear to say the least!

My opinion.... A while back I really wanted to go with 4.10s. But now I can see that 1st gear would not be managable on street tires as I build up power. If you like to spin the tires then 4.10s are "it". If you want a no non-sense 60ft? Then 4.10s will only serve to hurt somebody running street tires (15+ psi of boost)

l-menace's RPMs were 2500-2600 rpms at 70mph. Mine at 70 is a little below 2000.

IMO.. The 3.73s, tall tires, and convertor are the right combo for how I like to drive. Easy on the street... passing lawyers on the strip.

until I upgrade to 20" rims... but that may have to wait another year, I think I have allocated too much $$ for this year mods as it is.

I waited 'til I added 22's to the truck before going to the 4.10's. They're almost 30 inches tall with the tires. The truck pulls much better around town; and, I'm actually getting about 1.5 mpg better with them installed. 70 mph comes at around 2200 rpms. I needed them. I can see why you wouldn't want them though. My next tires will be 31.6 inches tall in the rear; and, I'll be even happier that I have the 4.10's.

if you are planning to trap around 135-139 "one day", what size tire would you have to run in order to do that with 4.10's?

Anyone want to buy a brand new set of 4.10s? Was going to install with my Detroit locker, but I'm with Rich on this I think I'm better off keeping the 3.73s.

about 200 rpm more than now, with 373, but with 410s your boost dont fall off at shifts
