Congrats! I'm trading my Kenne Bell for the Works 140 I told you about. There's some even better news too. He sent it to Whipple and had it completely rebuilt about 500 miles ago. For those that don't know what it looks like here you go.

It's got one of the few Works throttle bodies on it as well.

Not to pee in your wheeties or anything, but that is one of the prototype Works140 setups. It does not have a bypass...

For a race-only type setup, or for a setup that is run at a relatively low boost (4# lower pulley?) it may be ok, but for daily driving with a 6# or 8# pulley, you are going to cook that blower...

The newer (when they were being made) 140 setups looked like this:

You may want to call whipple and see what kind of RPM they recommend on a daily driver setup without a bypass...

Just my $0.02 (maybe a nickel...)

The one in the picture isn't mine. It was just an example so the newbies could see a Works.

The one in the picture is identical to Sal's blower, so if you are getting the blower that Sal had, it does not have a bypass...

Right, my Works 140 was a prototype, same as in that pic. But it should be fine for street use. I never had any problems with it and neither did any of the other 140 owners running that setup (that I can recall).

Oh, and I ran 10.59 all boost with it .

I would still suggest placing a call to whipple and seeing what they have to say about running it without a bypass...

If nothing else for piece of mind.

Hello to you too Mark LOL.. yea im in the process of getting parts together to do the built block so i can give everything to Sal and have his engine guy do it up for me.. i jumped on the Whipple only because i noticed the price jump twice already and figure i should get it while its somewhat affordable.. i also jumped on it because of the amount of time ill have it.. they promise next week so we shall see.. besides i want a high horsepower ride without juice. and aside from a turbo this is the way to go..
