Good kill..

Well it was in the low 60's nice and cool out..... I was driving along when a Mercedes SL55 AMG Flies by me......Well the light up ahead just turned red and I pulled up next to him .On the side of his shiney Mercedes it read V8 Kompressor... Now at the track I seen one of these run 12 flat. The guy was in his late 30's early 40's....Well the light changed and he nailed it,So as soon as I heard him nail it I nailed mine.Off the line I jumped ahead by one car length and stayed that way until I let off around 90..The guy was real cool.He rolled down his window and asked if I was stock.I told him no.He laughed and said thank god..He said the supercharger sounded awsome...... He could not believe that he was beat by a truck.....That made my night .........I thought I would share my experience with you...

What are your mods??

Kid at my school's dad has one which the kid drives to school once a month or so and hes been talkin some smack about how it would rape my truck. I have an interchangable kit coming in the mail (4lb & 6lb) and a chip after I get that on I'm planning on shutting him up.

Be careful with the AMGs. I have seen videos of them slaughtering modded 03/04 cobras. They are supercharged and have one of the BEST traction control systems in the world. The E55 has 492 horsepower stock I believe. You can floor them from a dead stop and have ZERO wheel spin.

I dont think you will be able to beat it with just a pulley change and a chip.I have a 2003 with KENNE BELL BLOWER w/3 ¼ pulley,Moto Blue 6lb crank pulley,60lb injectors,Mafia,TR6 Plugs,JLP forced air induction,C&L Polished plenum and elbow,Polished Accufab TB,FTVB w/4x4 pan, Magna flow mid pipe with high flow cats,Bassani cat back exhaust, LFP 58inch torque bars, tuned by RWTD,ect, ect. Also I let up around 90mph.I think if we kept going he would have caught and passed me...476bhp power output electronically limited to 155mph speed restrictor off 186mph......Good luck..

That AMG is a ***** (kitten) (P####y got stared out??) compared with the Maclaren SLR
A similiar looking beast but it has twin exit pipes each side a bit like the 'L'
They sound awesome when you stomp on the go pedal.
Has some mega engine, the car designed and built as a joint venture by Merc & Maclaren Cars.

These things can accelarate and stop at an awesome rate.
But at half a million quid or so it damm well should.

Those AMG 55 are about 100k here but if you where to invest 100k £ into a Lighting the world is your oyster.

Available on the 2nd hand market for quite good money but if it goes wrong you may need a 2nd morgage on your plot, if you think access under the hood of an 'L' is hard work look under the hood of an AMG.

Happy Hunting

Exactly, I've seen SC Cobras (highly modified) get raped on both ends by those AMG's.
