Post New Computer in 2000?

For anyone interested, I looked at the computer my new L and found out that it has a "CUX2" code on it. I hope that the chips for the 99.5's will work. Also for anyone who was still wondering, it came standard with the tow package, 6 disc changer, tinted rear sliding glass, overhead console that displays temp and direction with garage door and sunglasses holder, taillight covers with the backup lights moved to the top, and no tonneau cover.

If you're thinking of one superchip specifically used for one comp. code to work with another comp. code, it wont work. You'll have to send it back to get reprogrammed.

From what I understand, all Lightnings, both 99's and 00's use the same CUX2 EEC code. I have heard that the code used in the Lightnings is some of the most complex code Ford has ever compiled into one vehicle and that they didn't want to reinvent the wheel by rewriting all new code for '00.

For what it's worth.....

I emailed Sal and he said that the 99.5's used code "CUX1". I hope to hear back from him soon whether or not he can burn a chip for the 2000's.

What is the official weight of the 2000s? They've got the same horspower rating, same torque rating, but I think I read somewhere that the 2000 is a little quicker to 60 and around 14 flat in the quarter. Granted the 99 Lightnings were faster than advertised, any real world comparisons yet?
