What blower do I need/buy?

On my 01 L my ported eaton just locked up on me. So I need a new blower. I would like to know what some of you would do in my case. I'm not to happy with the eaton. I want to run 18psi. My mods are:

Stage 2 heads/stock cams
C$L plenum
CAI
IT-22's
Bassani high flow cats
Magnaflow exhaust
SBTB
6# lower
Predator
4.10's
58" T bars
Monster Box

Hello ,sorry to here about ur blower..like the others said is the kennebell will get you where you want to be.I ran it with my stock block for a long time with no problems just run a 4 lb lower(12 psi net) and a good DYNO tune will give you around 440-450 rwhp 500-515 rwtq get you a FJO AIR FUEL GAUAGE or some to keep a eye on your air &fuel..Im getting ready to put in my built motor soon so ill be able to turn her up. Just my .2 cents.
Good luck Bob Happy Holidays

If you dont mind me asking...who ported your blower and how long was it ported before it locked up? I do agree...Kenne Bell is the one with the proven track record

My L was stock till 18,000 miles. I then did a four pound lower. At 20,000 miles I did all my mods except for the MB. Sending my blower to the place I bought all my parts from. I dont want to say where because this could have been a freak thing. Plus I had a 2.7 upper and I was flying down the freeway at 135mph. At 22,000 miles it locked up.

If I let everything that broke on the truck get to me I would have sold it a long time ago. So rather then getting pissed I look at bright side. I get to buy a new blower, add some power, and some day scatter my bottom end. Then I will have a justifyable reason to buy a built block.

I'm looking into the Wipple...

Thats a great outlook on life and is pretty much how I live day-to-day. If I let things breaking and/or malfunctioning get to me every time it happens, I would be in the nuthouse by now

A Whipple of K/B at 18psi will be the death of your bottom end. That is a ton of boost for the street.

Since you have Stage II Heads I assume you have good springs too ???
so dont forget the Mag. At $1700.00 with good springs and the right tune
550-600 HP is NO PROB these days. (You will however need a set of stock rotors, it uses the std Eaton Rotor Pack)

The KBs seemed to have a few problems in the past. Bell made some changes and I haven't really heard any new complaints in ~6 months.

How are the KBs doing these days? Anyone had problems with the newer ones?

Let me add this: even with the things I've heard, I'd go with the KB.

I disagree. Keep an uber-conservative tune (like stock timing and A/F) and a clean fuel filter, and there is no reason why 18 lbs cannot be run all day long.

Ford Racing claims to be making over 500 HP with nothing but a Whipple and a cat-back. They must be pushing some serious boost to get there with no other mods.
