Way to go Albert!!!! I wouldn't have believed it unless I had seen it for myself. What's the next modification? If I had a 99 Cobra, I would be really pissed.

Congraulations Albert,

I wish I could have been there for that one. I had to leave for Atlanta, GA on Wed for an emergency ATC radar problem or else I would have been there. Call me up this week at work in will plan on meeting at my house. I'm still waiting for Sals Air Filter setup.

Later,
Terry

This particular Lightning has a Stupidchip and a K&N filter, that's it. How much is the Stupidchip worth on a Lightning? Who knowns, but we all know they are junk on Cobras and GT's. Albert (the owner and driver) of this Lightning is a damn good driver, (many 10 sec. runs under his belt in a Camaro) which says alot. Also, the weather was just damn near perfect. The truck had a full tank of gas, tonneau cover, spare tire on board, floormats, seatcovers, bla bla bla.....
Damn I love these trucks. Oh, BTW, I was there and will vouch for the 13.58 timeslip.

Thumbs up

Congratulations! What tire pressure did you use for the rear tires (I am assuming you ran stock tires)?

Zonaman...The altitude is around 1100 ft. here. Yes, stock tires! I had 35 psi in front tires - 22 psi in rear! Tried 19psi, worse launch...2.01 60 ft.

Well let's keep this topic going with my new best time.

60' - 2.000
330' - 5.579
1/8 - 8.531 @ 83.46
1000' - 11.091
1/4 - 13.297 @ 101.77

I did this tonight at New England Dragway in Epping NH. Elevation is 90' and temps were in the 40's. My only mods are a Superchip and Sal's cone filter.

NED closes this week for the season. I'm glad I got my best on the last day.

I've got a date at Houston Raceway Park on the 21st. A lot of the Houston area owners are planning to meet there for an informal gathering to run each other and maybe pick up some bragging rights. I promise, I will be posting my timeslips, good, bad, or indifferent.

I wouldn't be looking for 12's yet guys, but I will do the best I can. (Way out of practice on a .4 instant tree, zzzzzzzzz!)

I don't recall everybodys times but, I have witnessed HIGH RISK running in the 12's, I believe 12.40 was his best the last time I saw him.

How often do they race at Thunder Valley? I would like to come up from DFW and make a run or two.
