Can anyone from LI come with me to JDM Thursday ?
The media mentioned the surplus and the retirement issues. They have been showing alot on how messed up transportation is in New York.
I just saw(on the news) that they are negotiating again and the union is going to consider going back to work. They would be well served to get back to work and negotiating. They could very well end up with a busted union. Wether they are right or wrong won't matter anymore if the union gets busted up for an illegal strike.
I was a union steward when the air traffic controllers got busted up. Management took on a new found, kiss my ****, attitude. In my opinion, this was a major turning point for unions, and not for the good either. It weakened our pull considerably. Texas is a right to work state, so unions in this area carry almost no authority. The pull we had while I worked at DFW airport came from the national level unions more than our local level folks.
I will risk giving my thought on the retirement at age 55 issue. Most folks I know(at least the working folks), could only dream of retiring at 55. I know alot of folks have to work even after 65, to make ends meet. But I will say that if those folks went into that job thinking that 55 was the retirement age, it isn't fair to pull the rug out from under them. Especially for those that are nearing the retirement age. I am surprised they haven't brought up a two tier plan yet. That allows present workers to keep their goodies, while sticking it to the new hires...LOL. The problem with the two tier plans is that in about 10 years, the newbies will out number the original folks and the original folks will find themselves loosing to the newbies who want to get things back on an even playing field.
Wow...i made a Rob Post....nobody is going to read all this *****...LOL.
Rocks

Gator The answer is simple, WHEN YOUR FKING ALLOWED TO STRIKE
It's already been determained people WILL go to jail for this strike
WHY ???
BECAUSE IT IS ILLEGAL FOR THEM TO STRIKE
Why are they being fined a million dollars a day ???
BECAUSE IT'S ILLEGAL FOR THEM TO STRIKE
Way to look out for your workers Transit, make them pay back 2 or 3 days for each 1 they ARE FORCED to strike
I know your a big union man and I told you I respect that, but crippling
NY City days before the largest Holiday of the Year, closing the colleges and fourcing people to NOT be able to go home to family for the Holidays if fking rediculas. Almost as rediculas as you refusing to drive on a road with a Bridge on it (even know it has NO RESTRICTION)
Bro
I love you like a Brother and support unions when they play by the rules,
but when they dont we are all entitled opinions, thats mine.
HAPPY HOLIDAYS MY GOOD FRIEND
(btw I really which we were out at the TT bars last night ; o (
AND PLEASE DO NOT COME HERE AND MAKE IT SOUND LIKE I'M HIDING SOMETHING BECAUSE I AM NOT
MERRY CHRISTMAS SLOWER THAN ROB :santa:

Make up an order for 500 crappers shipped to JDM in Freehold.
Jump in the truck when the order goes out. It arrives in Freehold and no body knows a F'n thing about it. The order is cancelled and you have your ride to Jersey........... Problem solved!!!!!
Just think about it this way. The sale would have your name on it, so nobody would question it. Everybody would think it was another of your mix-up's

Rob is a crapper salesman!!!!
So, he is an expert on talking sh^t. This explains some of his posts...
The strike is not illegal.. according to the media it is, but in Union matters it is not.. that local that is on strike no longer has a contract.. the city failed to meet the locals demands and requests to come to some sort of agreement. if the local was still under contract with the city then the strike will be illegal, but being the contract expired, that means it is not illegal, and the union is in full rights to strike.. i know this because I was a Shop Steward for 3years with my local and now I am an executive board member for Local 518 SEIU here in NJ, we are the union for all DMV workers.. we have a great contract, but i do feel bad for those guys, yes it seems harsh what they are doing do to the transportation system, but hey everyone has to eat and support families too.. from what i watched on CNN the union and the city are meeting tonight to try and resolve this matter for the holidays.. hope all goes well for those guys...

The last peace of the puzzle is in place.
I took Vinnies trailer to JDM so that your babie can be towed back to you.I did this as a favor to V.
I was helping him with a little project in his garage and insted of him going 30 miles out of his way I took it and that allowed him to go right to work.
I hope you enjoy the new motor, she was straped to the dyno when I was at JDM and the #s for today are GREAT.

Your a Genious
In my Opinion,
A strike for a particular company is one thing. If good year goes on strike, you can buy tires else where.
But when a particular agency / industry goes on strike as a whole, this is a bunch a crap.
It should be illegal to hold an entire city hostage like that.
Its like when all those west coast dock workers went on strike. They screwed so many people it was rediculous. Entire factories closed because of shortages.
There are Millions of people in NYC that use public transportation. How can the unions justify screwing all these people? They did it right a christmas just too try and force the issue.
Every time some on tells us what we owe unions, I want to puke.
As soon as all these unions get done bankrupting the companys that employ them and their members scatter like the money grubbing ****roaches that they are, the rest of the world will be better off.
Unions help union members, PERIOD.
They financially cripple corperations and cause the average Joe to pay inflated prices for their goods just so some union guy can make 45k a year on his G.E.D. education and retire at 55.
Unions Bone America.
