I believe Lightnquick is correct. The Lightning tested by MM was a 2000 prototype that they tested several months ago (there was an earlier thread with these same photos). The actual production trucks may be slightly different.

In addition to the in-dash CD on the proto but not the real Y2K L's, the test prototype did not appear to have the class 3 hitch which I understand is now standard on the new trucks.
