I am a big fan of whipple chargers.I do not know if they make them for Fords ,but they should. It is a design with Twin screw induction ,not single plane.I do not like conventional type that are like a pully pushing air into intake.I like eaton type that compresses and then forces air/fuel.This way you get a lot more torque rathere than just horsepower increase.A LOT ! more power at the lower end rpm range. good for smokin the rears!

Cool

Duke,
Before you buy the 18" Lightning Chromes,
take a look at the 20" Harley Chromes.

Question Lightning improvements over non-Lightning?

Just curious, from bumper-to-bumper, what are the improvements to the Lightning over a XLT or Lariat? Exhaust? Engine? Suspension? Wheels? Chip? etc...

Thanks!

Hey Zoomer! I just saw them a few weeks ago at the SD Auto Show. Here are some pix I took:

I like the 20's, but I like the 18" SVT wheels even better. From what I read the Harley F-150 is expected to be in Ford dealer showrooms in spring 2000, and is just a tricked out truck with a 5.4 V8.

Question

Ok, so I refine my question by asking:

What's the difference between a regular F-150 XL and the Lightning?

Thanks again for your help!

Re the Harley 150 wheels . I think that they are only 8 or 8 1/2 " wide. I don't think you could get any serious rubber on those.
