Hot diggidy dog! Now I am convinced they didn't route the exhaust to the rear, which would have been a bummer. Thanks for the great pics.

I'd rather have a bottle in front of me than a frontal lobotomy.

'92 Civic Si, Centerforce Dualfriction clutch, no front license plate.

'84 Alan Record Carbonio, Aerospoke wheels, Sugino AT crankset, Campy brakes (I think, hard to tell underneath the protective coat of grease and dirt).

'98 Honda "Harmony" 5.0 h.p. mulching mower, stock.

2000 silver SVT Lightning on order (the lawnmower will have to go).

Heh heh heh, excellent... =)

PBGas, you are awesome! Thank you very, very much for the pics... Somehow I'm hoping MY red beast is one of these pictured, but that would be too much too ask.

I too am rather relieved to see the exhaust out the side instead of the rear. Just wouldn't be the same...

About the only other thing I would've liked to see is if you had managed to get pics of VIN's... (dealer's suppossed to have my VIN this week sometime.)

But I regress... PBGas, you are awesome! Thanks for the fresh dose of anticipation! =)

Question

Hi Guys/Gals
Those of you that have gotten your build date/VIN, were you the first in line at your dealer? I'm second in line and I was trying to get an idea of when my truck will ship. As of the 15th, my truck was not scheduled.
Thanks

PBGas,

Thanks for the photos and excellent job!

I'm not quite sure I like the partially white side mirrors. I'll either find a set of completely black mirrors or take them to a body shop and have them painted entirely white, incl. the triangular piece that attaches it to the door/window, if possible.

Gilbert,

I was #1 at my dealership in AL. They told me that mine SHIPPED on 2/16 and would arrive w/in 10 days.

BTW, thanks again for the ordering guide.

George

Nice work PB
I put one of your photos on my web site. I did state that I would do that in another post and gave you credit. Again nice job. I would like to add the balance to the Zing site with your credits attached. OK?

BABolt.....no problemo....whatever you want to do with the pics is fine by me!

LightningQuick...I thought the same thing about the tips but from what I could tell, they looked identical to the 99.5 L's with the ceramic coating.

Justen....actually, that is the snow piled up on the ground that makes it look lowered...it's just a reg. extended cab (would have been a neat setup though if it was lowered!). ;-)

No kidding, although I do not have a 2000 on order, I aprreciate your efforts. One thing I noticed, are the 2000 Lightnings coming with that rear window tinted? mine didn't come tinted. It is easier to see the tint on these pictures than on the other post. Good observcation on the taillight assembly. One last thing, I read somewhere on the net, that the 2001 Lightning and Ranger will become 'fuel efficient' vehicles. Anyone know about this?

Cool

After all the confusing information from everybody about delays, trucks being delivered, parts shortages, etc, etc, and of course, all the pent up excitement about these trucks, it sure is nice to finally see that the 2000 is no longer mythical, but in fact a reality.

Doesn't make the wait anymore bearable, however!?!

Thanks a bunch PBGas!!!!

Hmmmm......good point on the rear window tinting....You can really notice the difference on the first picture in this set. To me, they all looked much darker than the other trucks.

Cool

Jim,

Yup that is my red one sitting there. I just got back from the snow in Utah. I think some of the snow might melt off my L before it arrives. I am so stoked!
