it was awesome. I would love to see that in person.

Does anyone have any pics of the new Adrenaline?

Thanks

I just bought a 2006 trailblazer SS to replace my lightning that was totalled out by a drunk driver. And if the adrenalin is anything like this it will be bad ***. I believe the SS AWD weighs around 4600 lbs. So I don't see any reason why the sport trac would weigh more. And the SS does this with the 6.0 ls2 engine. Its rated a little less than the vette in Hp but the tq is there. I can mash the throttle from a dead stop and the tires wont even spin, it will about break a passengers neck if they aren't paying attention. I know they aren't quite on par with the lightning in acceleration, but the first AWD SS purchased ran a 5.3 0-60 and a 13.9 in the quarter stock. I would love to get one of those adrenalins but I just coudln't wait for more than a year without any idea on specs and price.

Greis'd,
Congrats, A 2006 Trailblazer SS , I'm sorry to hear about your L but the SS is one sick ride. Ford needs to get there ars in gear to catch up to GM in the perfomance side of things. Do you have any pics you would like to share of your new ride.

I believe the Sport Trac/Explorer weighs in at a little under 4400#....Still lighter than an L!

It doesn't "seem" like it but everything I've read has said it WILL be equal to or lighter than an L.

Here's from one article I found:
Sport Trac Adrenalin also features superior driving dynamics. With a 113-inch wheelbase, and track just over 60 inches, the Adrenalin offers a more compact footprint than competitors' sport trucks. Combined with a lighter curb weight, the Adrenalin promises to improve on the nimble, composed dynamics that made the SVT F-150 Lightning famous in enthusiast ranks.

You seem to be forgetting that it is not a full-size truck. Which is my my issue with it.

"Nimble" as opposed to what - a school bus?

Actually if you do some reading on it the Adrenaline is two inches longer than a Lightning. Add in the weight of two extra doors and a FULLY boxed frame. To me it sounds like it will definately heavier than an L.

Well i didn't turn a Lightning into a 4x4 but the other way around. Now i'm not sure what it will take but this has been brought up. Gregg Evans mentioned building someone a tranny etc and sent it off but never heard from the guy again. I think the more these trucks start putting out the more we'll "need" four corners pulling.

Could be actually lighter if the boxed/hydroformed frame can get away with thinner and less steel.

The 4WD Sport Track Explorer is 4,349 lbs. Add in a few hundred more for the bigger engine and tranny (an assumption on my part, maybe they would wiegh less), and maybe take a little away for SVT lightening tricks, and it's not hard to imagine what comes out the other end is less than the Lightning's 4,674 lbs.

The sport trac is NOT a full sized truck - its a mid sized vehicle -

That HAS To save weight ....

But with the way FOrd is bleeding money it may never get made
