2000Silverbulletonorder,

I'm not sure what you meant in your first paragraph, but I can respond to your second. I work for Honeywell Aerospace, formally AlliedSignal Aerospace, formally Garrett, (and finally) formally Airesearch. Love those name changes. I'm in a division that engineers and manufactures pneumatic valves for the aerospace business.

Man I was reading those posts and thought a bunch of 99ers were making a comeback, like the sixties. Then I read the date and realize someone brought some bones. Thanks for nothing.

It is funny to look at that old post, and how we were all worried that a 2 or a 4# lower pulley would wreck the Eaton supercharger.

Well I put 12,000 miles with 4 extra lbs of boost, and then 32,000 with 10 extra lbs of boost before I switched to my KB Blower. I was expecting some wear in the Eaton, but to my surprise it looked perfect.

It does show that Eaton did one hell of a job designing our blowers.

i was fooled at first too, i was trying to figure out how sal was selling 6lbers to people when he claimed they would destroy the blowers.

I remember those days tooi. When a 2 lb pulley would be the destroyer.....haha
And now I can say I've bought 2, 4, 6 lb pulleys and ready to try out an 8 lber

I'm glad I didn't have a truck back then, I'd be paranoid and remain stock.

Unreal what we have learned over the last 5 years.

All thanks to Vendors R&D!

Thank you vendors, if not for you advancing the products, I'd be stuck with a 2# pulley

I was sitting here thinking I was reading a NEW POST.
Saying to myself, WTF

Like Lots of us said, I don't think you can find a more
Care Free/ TROUBLE FREE S/C than our stock Eaton.
And I think what this post proves, is that the Eaton
turned out to out perform AND LAST even over their
own expectations, and in fact can take a hell of a lot
more abuse than they ever thought it would.

YA BABY

BTW
I do however believe anything over 4lbs of extra pulley,
IS OVER SPINNING IT to the point that the extra heat can
work against you "in certain situation", if proper cooling Mods are not used

I've proved time after time, mine runs faster with 4lbs of pulley,
AND NOT 6.
6lbs or more "in the summer heat" "on a stock cooling system L"
will actually run slower than 4. (Or at least mine proved to do that)

I went faster after going from a 4 lber to a 6 lber, and faster still, after going from a 6lber to a 7

You wouldn't happen to know that 7's diameter would you?
