fuel pumps, best first fuel upgrade?

this past year, i was putting down 463/591 w/ ported apten, 6lb lower, 50 shot, and some supporting mods on the stock fuel system

i do have a diablosport mafia for the mass air meter

i am going to be building a JLP shortblock 8.9 compression vs stock 8.4, and adding a set of JLP heads to the truck, depending on boost level, jl said these could be worth up to 50hp

just wondering if i keep the same pulley and 50 shot this next year, if i'll need more fuel with the new setup or if i should still be fine.

if upgrading somewhat, what would be the best order to do stuff,

the 255 pumps? should that be enough?

with 255 pumps you should be fine
Most of us KB built motor guys still use those pumps with no problem.

You may want to upgrade fuel injectors, and fuel pressure regulator.

i guess i'm not sure if i'll actually be using more fuel, i know the higher compression and ported heads make more power, but does it use more fuel to do that?
