Yoda and all on this post - You guys seem to be missing the point here. This is not about who knows what or who is smarter than who. This is about company ethics. Taking what is not yours and selling it is plan unethical! These stickers are not available to anyone other than Ford Motor Company. If you want one, you have to either buy a truck or purchase an air cleaner from the dealer. The vendor will not sell these stickers to Mr. Blackbolt, period (if you don't believe it, contact the vendor yourself and ask). The only way he will be able to get them is to steal them out of his plant. As a Ford Motor Company employee and stockholder, I am more than a little upset having a fellow employee bragging about how he can get these stickers for everyone. This is not right!

Where they lying in a garbage dump? No, these emblems happen to be lying around Ford's Sandusky Plant. Just because they are "lying around" doesn't mean they are free for the taking. If I was invited into your house, would you like it if I helped myself to your stereo or TV set that you had "lying around?" How about if I took your Lightning that happened to be "lying around" in your garage? Is that OK? You weren't using it at the time, it just was "lying around." I don't think you would be very happy if I did that. What would you call that kind of action on my part? Stealing, I would hope! Just because someone else's stuff happens to be "lying around" in Mr. Blackbolt's mind, does not give him the right to take it. Just as my helping myself to your TV or Lightning is stealing, so is taking these emblems that happen to be "lying around" the Sandusky Plant. Now, if Mr. Blackbolt went to the Plant Manager and said, "Mr. Plant Manager, we have a lot of these new 2000 Lightning emblems lying around and I wonder if I could help myself to a couple dozen to sell to my 'friends' at F-150 Online? Is that OK with you, Mr. Plant Manager?" And that plant manager said, "Sure, you can help yourself. Those poor sucker customers that are paying $32,000 for their new Lightnings don't need those emblems on their trucks. Help yourself to as many as you like!" Then, Mr. Blackbolt could take these emblems. I guarantee that this conversation never happened nor will it ever happen. I think Mr. Plant Manager would be very upset if he knew what Mr. Blackbolt was planning. If I was Mr. Blackbolt, I would be very sorry that I ever shot my mouth off! But unfortunately, I am afraid that too many participants on this Bulletin Board do not see anything wrong with this behavior.

Hey, 4D THNDR - One more thing for you to think about. If Mr. Blackbolt hasn't done anything wrong, how come he is going back and editing out all the incriminating evidence from his posts? I think he has seen the light!

Mr. Blackbolt - It should not be too hard to find you since there are "only two 1999 owners at the plant." Have a nice weekend!

Everyone involved in this scandal, should have their Eatons reduced to 3psi output.

 

Mr. Blackbolt - I hope for your sake that the other 1999 Lightning owner at your plant also has a black one! If it is either white or red, you are in a heap of trouble!

I originally read this post, and remember PFA talking about these emblems and making note that the proper procedures should be followed to get these emblems.

No one said they would take them without permission!

I think this should be dropped right now.

If the situation is not dropped and gets further out of hand then Steve will be dropping by.

Im sorry if someone miss understood me on this! all i was doing is try ing to HELP! as for rounding up leftovers i was thinking about the vendor ours are all used up for service parts!, but i was sure the vendor ( northern engraving corp sparta,WI 54656 ) might have leftovers PN XL3V-9K671-AA i never promised that i could get them off them was'nt sure if i could but i thought it was worth a try. so im SORRY if i made someone upset for trying to help out!

 

Ok we are now all aware of what the situation was.

This should be dropped now, because even I am tired of it, and that takes a lot.

Please contact me if anyone has further info on the emblems, but if they can not be purchased then lets leave it at that.

Please Let This Post Die and it would have if Steve 2000SB would not have put his .02 in with the animated Gifs. It magnified a minor problem that would have passed. As for those emblems I hinted early on that there is no way that they can be purchase from the vendor. I also stated that yes the vendor could in fact let you have some for evaluation, a small quanity and not something you could sell. I stated this for a very simple reason. So that Black Bolt would think twice about his offer (he did offer to sell, he also edited his post to take that out). I also posted the image so that he would know that I knew the item in question. Please note this, if those emblems were to be offered for sale at this site there would have been some serious checking. Why do I know this because I was doing some checking within Ford and the Vendor (Northern Engraving) to see if there was a way to have some sort of a goodwill give away on the new 2000 emblem. I had even made the offer to purchase the items but there is no way to buy something that they (vendor)are licensed to only sell to Ford Motor Company. There were other Ford employees here that knew what I was up to and also the steps I was going through to try and make it happen. Well it is over now. I have lost interest.

Whoa HRSix! I didn't read anything about him stealing in his posts or implications. What he said was they were lying around everywhere and he would see if he could get some. He seemed to be following legal paths.
