99.5 Dyon Runs
Hey Guys,
I just got back from the dyno and want to post the numbers. I believe a bunch of guys in Texas will be adding their number later on this month.
I have a 99.5 lightning with a chip, K&N filter, power tube, full Bassani exhaust system and undersized blower pulley.
Dyno
365 hp with 476 torque
These motors make a real flat power curve, well not really a curve but more like a flat line. So it looks like a set of gears and slicks will really drop the et.s

Hey Alvin. Had my full Bassani system installed today & had a dyno done this afternoon. Results: HP 361, Torque 445
1999 RED, Superchip, Bassani Xhaust, K&N.
Tomorrow: Downs Filter Kit

Does anyone know how much to allow for loss in our Ford Drive Train. I am hearing everything from 15% to 20%. What number do you think would be real to figure the HP and torque at the engine?

Motorsport Technologies Inc., 1 block S. of Westheimer on Dairy Ashford. Real nice people and they are happy to work with you on tuning and getting set up properly. They usually charge $75 for two pulls, but they can get carried away sometimes and do more for the same price.
I think Mike's number is pretty close, that about what my dyno pulls indicated.

303 stock, 329 with first gen superchip and with no learn time, ie, back to back after installation of chip. No unhooking of battery.
Hope to do some pulls after Bassani full meal setup install and with Sal's chip and filter.

A couple weeks ago had my dyno run and ended up sending the Superchip back to get reburned; stock: 331hp 446fp
chiped: 336hp 451fp
The tech said it was duw to a lack of load on the dyno but they would reburn anyway at no charge. It may be a while before I rerun on the dyno but I hoped for better results than that.
