Finished my Console mod today....PICS

I went a little off the traditional route of Light Grey for the sides, and Charcoal for the Top. I felt this matched my truck better. Oh yeah, the flames are a bit different also. The upholster said I need more orange to tie it in, I think my Sub box will do that, if not, I might do the headliner.

Good, bad, indifferent, what do you think?

Tom

I didn't like it till I saw the hood. Even still, I agree with your apolsterer. Not knocking you or anything though. I think if you did orange piping on the floor mats, or some other little things like that it would be KILLER!!!! I'd say your on your way to a sick truck! good luck and keep us updated.

Yeah, that "other thread" is running slow. I had it done at a local upholstery shop here in Orlando. Maitland Auto Upholstry. Give Don a call, I am sure he would be glad to work with you.

I hope not, his truck is the inspiration for me buying a L in the first place! I am sure he replaced the Hootersmobile with something even better.

I got a DeWalt jig saw and Ryobi router with bit set last weekend. Might even dovetail the box!

Yeah man, there are a few "How-To's" on how to do the console mod. Order a few parts from Ford, and have the seat cut, and you have two buckets and a console. It is my favorite interior mod so far.
