A "I'm sorry" to Team PSP and SOME of the Community"
A "I'm sorry" to Team PSP and SOME of the Community"
I broke my number one rule and I'm very upset at myself for doing it. I said alot of schitt over the last few days that I thought I never would. I guess being attacked from so many all at once brought out a pretty ugly side of me, a side I really dont like to look at. Sometimes schitt happens at a point and time of your life when you just cant take no more, believe me when I tell you this is that point and time of my life.
Seeing Sal tell me I'm not welcome, then have what I consider a really good friend Richie stike out at me, and of course other Team PSP people, just hit me hard and I counter attacked the only way I know how by giving it back 10 fold. My "I'm sorry for being an a$$hole" is directed to those people
As for the other people telling me FU rob, drive a whatever Rob, everything you touch turns to schitt Rob, all I have to say to you is go EDITyourself EDIT obviously you dont know me. My truck ran flawless through all of 2002, 2003, and 2004, with me doing 100% wrenching, moding, and being in control of my tunes 100%, nothing I did wasn't a total success so go sell your schitt to someone else.
And to the other EDIT I NEVER EVER claimed to be some big shot racer, I usually get to the track 10-15 times a year but once they closed the local track here (last season) that will now be cut in half, NOT ONCE A YEAR
Rich Chim Mark and other Team PSP peeps you disappoint me the most, you turned on me like animals and came out in attack mode without EVER looking at MY SIDE. This was never about money, it was never about Sal DIDNT do for me. What it's about is after we all knew there were problems IT COULD HAVE AND SHOULD HAVE BEEN SAVED, and it wasnt. What it's about is when is too much just too much, where is the line drawn ??? A year of not being able to floor my truck is that line for me, I AM SORRY IF YOU CANT UNDERSTAND THAT.
I would like to say to Sal and PSP, Rich Mark Chim and the other people
"I" care about, from the bottom of my heart I am so so sorry for what was said here the last few days. I NEVER should have struck out, I never should have thrown up on you, and most important I never should have allowed people to push my buttons, (especially the few who know nothing about me)
Richie is like a Brother to me, Chim was the first AND ONLY person EVER to beat me street racing, we've been hanging together at the summer car shows for years, he's offered help to me on numerous ocassions and we were all one big happy LOONY family before all this schitt happen, and I pray we will be again some day
I still feel none of you are seeing my side, and I still feel all of you are blaming me for something I had NO CONTROL over, but after letting it sit a while I do understand your side and only hope you someday understand mine.
The bottom line is with or without heads and cams, this SHOULD HAVE WORKED AND DIDNT. The springs are not to blame for the burning plugs, and how ironic is it after installing the 60's the truck was rendered 100% useless and un-drivable from that point on, (that was tune related as I've been saying all along btw)
But let me make sure EVERYONE reading this understands this
Sal is one of the finest Mechanics, Tuners, and Builders out there, and I would
recommend him to anyone. Yesterday, Today, AND TOMORROW. He did things for me no one ever would have, he saved me tons of $, and yes he even got me help from others. Yet with all the issues we had we still did put down massive amounts of power. Personally I think BOTH of us jumped the gun by taking it racing JDM Day, and your dam right I was impatient (if you can call waiting a year that) But it was suppose to be ready, and obvioulsy it wasn't.
But thats no excuse for throwing up on him and the other Team PSP peeps that jumped in, AND FOR THAT I WILL ALWAYS BE SORRY. I'm not saying I was wrong, BUT I AM SORRY for what I said.
As for moving on to JDM it's where I belong now, he has a proven method for building the 10 sec DD Mag, AND I WANT THAT. I didnt at the begining of my build, but as the saying goes the second time around you make it bigger and better and dont look back........
Although Sal and PSP choose to close the door on me, I WONT ON THEM,
Sal is a Great Guy, and can offer anyone in the Community anything they want, so PLEASE dont let any of the feelings posted lately steer anyone off track.
Doug, Steve, Brooks, I never asked this before, but I sure wish you would go through those two post and delete it all, everyone said what was on their minds, we all know how each other now feel, and for peeps looking at it in the future I see no value of it anymore
I AM TRULY SORRY TO SAL, TEAM PSP, and the Community

Any key board tough guy can spout off at people and make an *** of himself. However, it take a big man to step up and admit that he was wrong and apologize. Good job Rob, this post says a lot about your character and what type of person you are.
Nice
Rob, good gesture on the appology, although I don't think you have anything to appologize for. True friends would stick by you and not turn their back just to brown nose. I met you at JDM last year but have been on the boards here for a long time. I've been following your fiasco since the start and your question of where you drawn line can be answered as this.......
LONG BEFORE YOU HAD NO CHOICE BECAUSE YOUR MOTOR YOU PAID TO HAVE BUILT IS SITTING AT SOMEONE ELSES SHOP TO GET FIXED .
The people that are your friends and DO SEE YOUR SIDE (at least me and Gator do), understand. Sal is not at fault for trying to do what you asked. Sal is at fault for not doing what you asked the RIGHT WAY, which would be the way HE wanted it and felt comfortable and 100% confident in. Not the way you wanted to do it. You weren't the one building the truck even though he keeps using the word "WE". Sal has a big heart I'm sure and was trying to help you save money, but apparently it never hit him that some of the things he was skimping on because you asked him were gonna be trouble, trouble with a big PSP stamped on it. I commend him for trying to help you and bring what you asked to the table but I think it was a discredit to go against his judgement because he was trying to save you money. How much money did this end up saving you when you have to do it all over again?
I just can't put myself in the mindset to do something for someone , get paid for it, and tell them it will work even though some of the methods and parts were against my judgement. Then try to take credit because you got vendors to sell the customer new parts at cost to TRY to fix the problems and because you spent countless hours trying to dyno and tune and fix these problems. Then after this newest failure, the blame comes on another part??? WTF is wrong with this picture????
Sal- YOU are the professional, YOU are the builder, YOU knew the problems that were going on whether they were your fault or Rob's, and YOU told him to take it racing. The truck was supposed to be built for NOS. I don't understand how you told him it was ready to go....BUT told him to take it down and make a full pass before the juice???? So now after the failure, you pop with the nozzle was pointed and installed wrong and that's what caused it. YOU HAD THE TRUCK AND IT WAS BUILT TO RUN ON NOS, WOULDN'T YOU CHECK SOMETHING AS IMPORTANT AS THAT
I agree but he made some mistakes and they've gone public and it's time to admit it instead of blaming everone and everything. Sal.......your a great guy and great for the Lightning world but in this case , you might be ok with the fact that you have some supporters but I'm not one of them.
I'm sure some of these *** clowns would see your side REAL QUICK if their truck was sitting in the yard and not able to be driven after they paid someone for a buildup that a year later was never right to begin with.

Everyone makes mistakes. No one is perfect. But, one thing I can't stand is the internet tough guy. Drives me nuts b/c when they finally meet you, they cower behind some rock. I give you props Rob for what you did and in the end you even apoligized which I didn't even think you had to. Well, best of luck to you with your continuing efforts with JDM now. I got your back, too, being that I am from NY. Unfornately, Uncle Sam has me here in NC right now.
Trending Topics
Rob, I appreicate your apology. But I do not feel it's needed. The internet really screws things up. People come on here and give their two cents and make stupid comments and then a simple thread can get thrown into disarray. Then the tension starts to build, people are now offended that others don't agree with them, and it gets even worse. And in the end, it's the people who aren't even involved, that have caused the most damage.
I appreicate my customers and supporters standing up for PSP, but I would never condone such conduct. The constant back and forth from both sides just clouds the facts and puts everyone on edge to say stupid things. You said some stupid things and so did I. I have many customers that I see as not just customers, but as friends, and you are one of them. I said in the beginning that "I" understood why you chose to go with JDM. From that point on, it should have been the end of the topic, but others saw differently. And then here we are, each of "us" looking like the bad guys, when from the get go we seemed to have a mutual understanding for what happened.
It's obvious that you feel one way about the situation, and that I feel another way. I'm sure each of us have valid points. We have shared them for all the public to see (even though I don't feel some it was anyone's business) and we still feel what we feel. That is not going to change. It's also obvious that certain "supporters" for both sides feel their side is right, and won't let go of the situation.
You don't feel that you did anything wrong, and you apologized to me. I feel that I did everything in my power to help you with your truck, but you feel there were other things I could have done. So for that, I apologize to you, for letting you down in the ways you feel I did.

Rob,
You have not been to the track 10 or 15 times since you bought your Lightning, much less in a single year.
What gets your silly **** in these predicaments is living your life on this forum. You have made every trip you ever took to the track a permanent record.
Dude...quit with the ego tripping. Get out a calender...or better yet..do a search on this very forum.
Call me an a-hole if ya want. Hell...I am an a-hole. I will spit reality in your face every chance I get. Then I will buy you a fricking cold beer and spend hours with you laughing at stupid jokes.
Good Luck Rob...Like I said before, I still don't think you deserve to be crapped on by your buddies. But that doesn't mean I want to be your buddy .
Rocks

Thank You Very Much Sal
and believe me I am the one so very sorry for being me and taking way to much of this on line. You truly are a Great Builder, Mechanic, Tuner, AND FRIEND, and I hope someday we can get past this. PSP DOES ROCK and I was ALWAYS proud to wear your colors
Thanks Tom and the rest of my LOONY A$$ Buddies, and ALL of you for realizing I am out of control sometimes yet you still except and even like me for who I am
Rock I guess I do look soooooooooo foward to the
times I get out to the track these days since they closed LI Motorsprts Park.
Maybe I need to start concentrating on quality and not quanity.
Hey I may take you up on that Beer some day, I have some great TT bar stories, and they know me by name, hehehehehehe
Now it's time to decorate the house and bring on the Holiday Cheer :santa:

ROB, AS YOU AND I HAVE BEEN IN CONTACT THE LAST COUPLE OF DAYS WE BOTH AGREED TO PUT WHAT HAPPENED BEHIND US.. WE BOTH APPOLOGIZED TO EACHOTHER FOR WHAT HAD HAPPENED.. I APPOLOGIZE FOR LASHING OUT AT YOU THE WAY THAT I DID. BUT AGAIN WE BOTH KNOW WHY I DID IT, AND NOBODY ELSE WILL KNOW BECAUSE IT IS NOT THERE BUSINESS. I DO WISH YOU LUCK ON YOUR BUILD, I HATE SEEING A FRIEND DOWN AND I HATE WHEN A FRIEND TAKES A FRIEND DOWN LIKE WE BOTH DID, IT WAS WRONG. AS MARK SAID, "WATER UNDER THE BRIDGE". LETS NOT DAWN ON THE PAST BUT LOOK AT WHAT THE FUTURE HOLDS FOR US IN 2006 AND BEYOND.. YOU DA MAN ROB AND WILL ALWAYS BE MY GOOD FRIEND, TWINS IF YOU WILL.. REGARDLESS ON WHAT IS SAID OR HAPPENS I WILL BE THERE FOR YOU WHEN YOU NEED ME, COUNT ON THAT.. AS FOR THOSE WHO ARE CONTINUING TO BASH ON ROB, F^*K YOU!!!!!
