Wink My baby is almost done...

Well, I got everything ordered. The Cowl hood should be painted and ON in a little over 2 weeks, I ordered Sal's filter kit and I'll be taking it to Maximum Performance along with the blower pulleys that my dealership ordered from Downs to be put on when they hook up the Borla exhaust and Hyper Tech Module chip that they will be getting in in 3 weeks. I have a meeting tonight with the dealership and a friend to discuss tires and then I am going to stop working 7 days a week killing myself and try and get rid of this cold that has been doing it's best to kill me. I promised I would keep you guys posted so there ya have it. Pictures and maybe a few wavs *hehe* will follow soon after she is finished. Catch you guys later, and if you get a chance and haven't yet, check out the post titled AMEN, some of the others got a kick out of it and I have it posted up in my room at my desk and on my L progress folder hehe

Question

Good to hear that someone else is doing the pulley change. I'm looking at that now. Why did you decide to go with the downs pulley vs. the asp pulley?

Does anyone have both?

Cool

My goodness, are you trying to put that thing into earth orbit? And the pulleys (not to mention the other mods), your dealer is involved in this scheme? Doesn't this stuff void your warrantee? Or, 1) you have already voided your warrantee, so what the hell, lets tweak the sucker to the max, or 2) I have money to burn, so the prospect of replacing a $6,000 motor doesn't faze me in the slightest.

Exclamation

Just had a talk with Sal, more mods may still be in the works. I am going to get ahold of my shop tomorrow and possibly go with Sal's idea on the Bassani exhaust system, thanks for the suggestion Lightning2. Nathan going with the Downs pulleys because I wasn't aware of the ASP option. Not going to do both. Spiro, the Cowl is from an aftermarket shop in NJ and because it is being freight shipped I can catch a deal if it comes to my SVT dealer from Downs and I use my dealers paint guy. I worked everything out with the dealership and they will pay for the tires...but it was brought to my attention tonight *duh* that they only make the Comp TAs in 18s so I am looking into new wheels too. No Alph, I am not made of money, just dangerously obsessed. If I can get her airborne without breaking anything or killing anybody I'm working on it. Sal may just be my new best friend. hehe

Oh by the way, shhhhh the warranty hasn't come up...hehe Seriously, Burt Ford SVT is putting there name on the truck and asked if I would wear the jacket at the show in May. I think I can get away with more than most...

Cool

Already on a diet - beer and poppers. Just bought a cool new aloha shirt at Costco yesterday. What was the rest of it, BBQ?

I'm glad to see mods on your Lightning are progressing well. We are all still waiting to see pictures of you with your truck. We all want to see an Angel riding a Lightning bolt! Did you get a chance to show it to Ron at Purple Haze Racing in Lakewood yet? I have to talk to him soon but don't want to bring it up as I wanted you to suprise him. Where are you staying in St. Louis for the WFC? I want to make sure I at least get the chance to meet you, as well as Sal, Jeff S, Wyldman & son, and others from the board who plan to attend.
It looks like party central will be at the Ramada at the Arch. I plan to attend, and hope to see everyone else there.

I wanted to wait to show the pictures until after I got the Cowl hood done. Right now she's just a white L with pin stripes hehe I was thinking about heading out to Lakewood on Saturday or maybe even Friday after work. Do you know if he is around on weekends? As for the Ramada I was thinking about getting one night there. My mom and dad are trailing the truck on their mobile home and that sleeps 8 so I am sure it will be a traveling party hehe I can't wait to meet you guys I am so excited. Then you can see up close how an Angel does things hehehe BTW has anybody seen my halo?? I lost it... *sigh*
