Very cool!!

What is that item on the top left side of your dash that looks like a small speaker?

Yeah not bad

But have done that for five years several times a week. M3 M4 M25 M40
2000 stock L - 2003 stock L then 2003 L with a few mods
Finally the 2003 stock block gave out hence built motor on way from the Garden State.

Only thing was I decided to keep both hands on the wheel 155mph plus
Lightning - fantastic truck ... Areodynamics of a house brick though

Roads up here are good for 180 (well 181 according to the speedo)! Not that I have or anything! ;-) Nuff said!

I have a Skyline too!! As of yet, the Lightning hasn't been maxed!

What does a lightning feel like at an indicated 145? Scarey? Loose?

Interestingly (Don't know how normal this is). My lightning speedo is 99.5% accurate against my Sat Nav speedo! I thought Fords had a reputation for being well out!!

Whats it like at 145+

Put it this way both hands on the wheel.
Areodynamics of a house brick, so keep it straight.

Not for boys to drive either and a damm sight more stable than a SRT10

Got to 151.3mph on a GPS in my truck (Speedo Pegged!) . Very scary and cool at the same time...One of those only a few times in your life time. Yes, I'm a kid and do stupid things but it was awsome! Did Not hadle that bad because I was going straight but just make sure you have got good tires, properly air them up! I dynomatted my whole truck so it was still pretty quiet at that speed except for the wine 5K in 4th!

Just one point though....

I guy here in the UK strapped a video camera to his bike and recorded himself doing in the region of 180mph.

The police stopped him for a lesser speeding offence and upon seeing the camera played the tape which was used against him as evidence in court.
Supprise supprise he was done and lost his ticket to ride plus a hefty fine.

I lost an unmarked car in my old 2000 L as I thought it was some guy after a bit of street racing as he was stuck up my backside while I was doing 80 on the M3
I left him for dust and all he saw was my tail light dissappearing in the distance.

I was lucky as he was going off duty and let me off with a fixed penaly for doing 94mph.
I was informed their calibrated speedo was at 136 and I was pulling miles away from him, he was more facinated by the truck than the ticket.
So it only cost me £60 and three points - now long gone.
The video he showed me in his patrol car some while later was impressive but when I asked for a copy as it was good quality (you could see the heat haze from the side exuast when I booted it) he told me not to push it - asif I would.
