Results of the New Truck.....
As many of you may know I bought Camcojb's / Jody's Lightning awhile back, first of all Jody is one of the most knowledgeable & nicest guys you will ever meet. He has gone above and beyond getting me up to speed with the tuning and answering tons of questions, very appreciative and am proud to own this truck.
A couple of weeks ago I took the L to the track to test the 16 PSI & 19-20 PSI Street Tunes that Jody tuned himself, ran 11.96 with a horrible 1.75 60 FT on the 16 PSI Street ( 16 Degree's of timing w/alky. 91 Pump Gas ), then loaded up the 19-20 PSI Street Tune and swapped pulleys on the KB, spun the slicks for 30-40 FT and noticed the A/F was a tad lean so I got out of it.
Fast forward, Jody richened up the 19-20 PSI Street ( 6 Lower/2.75 Upper - 16 Degree's of Timing w/alky, 91 Pump Gas ), went to the track today to run in the annual Lightning's vs Dakota's race - was able to get the new slicks broken in with TONS of Heat & Smoke and ran 11.42 @119 with a 1.61 60 FT - keep in mind the truck was at full weight with the tonneau, etc. - only thing removed was the spare, 80 Degree Temps, at 1500 Feet Elevation.
( Side Note: Dante built this motor - simply awesome - great engine builder )
Next will be running this combo in some cooler weather, and eventually throwing in the Race Tune that put down 621/708 - then we will see what it will do at full weight before removing it.
After selling my previous 03 Lightning, never thought I would get one that would be in the shape of my old one - this truck is everything and ton's more - in the words of ROB....WooooooooooHoooooooo
I love this new truck.
Thanks again Jody - YOU ARE THE MAN

Congrats Dan! Too bad your first run in cooler weather wasn't a full one, because it should have been 11.20's according to your short times! With the hard lid that truck was 4880 pounds without driver! Plus it has 4 high flow cats. And you're still on the street tune.
There is more, and it'd be great to get that full weight truck into the 10's on the street tune. A little cooler weather and some fine tuning and it should do it. Then there's always the race tune, pulling the tonneau, hitch, removing the cats, etc.

l-menace - Thanks Man
lightninquick - Arizona's climate is a whole different animal, might have to try the Famoso Mod sometime, would be great to meet up with some Cali Racers again.
Jody - You are right buddy, that first pass was blazing with that short time - too bad I had to get out of it due to the match race a couple hours later - cant let them Dakota's know what it was going to run. 4880, minus the spare probably is around 4800 + my 165 Lb's - so she is running a bit heavy. Definately going to try and get the truck into the 10's on that street tune.
Keith - Good seeing you buddy, sorry we did not get to hang out longer brotha, the Family enjoyed hanging with you in the stands
