Question Chip problems, bucking in OD

Has anyone experienced a bucking feeling on OD under light throttle? It feels like the torque converter locking and unlocking. It goes away if you switch to the stock program.

Cool

Mine does this sort of thing and it's stock. In fourth when I kick it down hard on the highway. Like it bounces off the converter. Maybe it is hunting for the right gear or the speed is near the shift to forth point. Anyway I overcome this inherent tendancey by cutting off OD and then shifting at 120 into OD.

Thumbs up

Rusty,

I read your post and checked my plugs (only pulled 4 because they are a bi**h to get to) and that isn't my problem.

I talked to Sal and he's pretty confident he knows what the problem is. It seems that some trucks run a bit leaner than others at cruise or light throttle. The aggresive spark curve of the performance program combined with the slightly lean condition causes a sensation not unlike having a trailer hooked up to the truck. (exactly what mine felt like)

Sal's sending out a reburn with a few degrees taken out in the cruise mode as well as some tweeks to the shift firmness.

Thanks Sal.

Exclamation

Mark,

Guess I should give Sal a call. As I mentioned in an e-mail to you a few minutes ago, that's exactly what mine is doing too. And, your fix sounds exactly like what should be done to my chip.

Will the tweaks mean any less WOT performance? Right now, At full power on the chip it runs like it was just launched from "Pad 39A" over at the Cape and I wouldn't want to change that by too much.

Question

Misfiring plugs anyone?

Could that be the problem?
