BTS = A+ customer service.
BTS = A+ customer service.
As most of you know, 2 years ago I had Brian @ BTS pull the broken Monster Box tranny out of my truck and build it to his specs. Needless to say I have had 2 trouble-free years of service since I had it done. It has been daily driven for 2 years with 200+ 11 second passes and 80+ 10 second passes so I thought it was time for me to change the fluid and filter.
I called up Brian to ask him where I could find the Schaffers tranny fluid he uses since I haven't had any luck finding it locally. He told me that over the past year he's made a few changes to his trannys and if I could bring the truck to him, he'd like to pull the tranny out, do the new upgrades, freshen up any parts that may need it and change the fluid and filter for me. Kinda hard to pass up a deal like that, huh?
I decided to take him up on his offer and also have a superduty trans cooler installed while I was there. I drove to his shop this morning and he pulled the tranny apart and to my surprise it was in pristine condition. The clutch plates and steels looked like the might have 100 miles on them. All the bushings, pump gear, sprag, center support etc. were all in perfect condition.
He re-assembled the tranny and did all of his latest upgrades which included some cryo treated hard parts and a couple other secrets which he asked me not to divulge.
He also tossed my perfectly good PI converter in a bucket and slapped a brand new one on. He said he wanted to send my converter to PI to have them take it apart and see how everything looks after a couple years of drag strip abuse.
Brian worked from 8 a.m. this morning till 7 p.m. this evening strictly on my truck and his lovely wife even cooked us lunch.
To sum it all up:
tranny filter $25
superduty cooler $75
16 qt's tranny fluid $90
The huge grin on my face when he told me "no charge for labor or upgrades"
PRICELESS
In my book, that is waaaaay above the call of duty. A HUGE
for Brians Truck Shop and his crew for their hospitality and customer service.
As Rob would say, WOOOOOOOOOHOOOOOOOO!!!!!!
