Post Lightning owners in Canada

I would be interested in knowing how many of us Canadians that there are with Lightnings?
Drop a line and see if we can exchange some words of wisdom. I am currently in Edmonton Alberta, where I know that there is a total of 14 trucks. Take care and have a good day.

Hello....

I am up here in Ontario, Canada. I also know that SnowPlow is from a similar area as well.

I am probably the closest member to the Oakville Plant. I am going to take a peek this weekend to see if anything is out there yet for the 2000 folks.

Live in Fergus, work in Cambridge, Ontario - not an owner yet - on order - this wait is killing me.

Ah well, us frost-bitten Canadian boys couldn't drive one now if we wanted too. Too much cold air - wouldn't want to produce too much power. (hehehe!)

I really shouldn't say I don't own a Lightning - got 2 really. 1/21 Scale Bburago and the Tamiya kit - all red of course. Hope my full size version lasts longer than my Tamiya - 1st day it got a big krinkle in the left front bumper - gotta hate door jams.

Anyway - keep in touch!

Cool

I am friends with 1 owner (white) and know of 3 more in the area I live. My province got around 40, it is difficult to say, since even some non-SVT dealers had them for sale.

Nice to see there are a few of us here in Canada, The land that breaths life in to ever lightning, As for the snow here in Edmonton, there is not to much. So I will take a drive to red deer just to see if the L likes the cold??? Ordered a Psp kit today (chip and filter) this should wake the L from the cold spell I hope. do any of you have mods done to your L ??? give us a list.

Thumbs up

Hey there northernlightning. Good idea on the topic. I was wondering myself how many of us had L's up here as well.

Like PBGas said, the Winter Dulers are a great investment.

I too will be getting a chip and filter in the spring(not much point in doing it now). From what I have read here on this board, they are the first must get mods. I think I will go with the PSP filter/chip combo myself. Also I plan taking the L out the boys at J&P to see if they want to try doing some work on something other than mustangs With there reputation for mustangs who knows what they could pull outa the L.

I know this is gonna sound a little off topic, but have any of you guys dragged your Lightnings? I was going to in Alaska, but it snowed less than a week after I recieved mine. It would have been nice weather, low 20s F, low humidity...

Well....mods....

I am ordering an AirRaid box, as well as the Borla exhaust kit. I was looking at the Bassani setup as it does look amazing but I just can't afford it at this time. Still debating though which chip to go with. I may even do the Hypertech route if they can show some gains in their numbers, however, I am weary of their gains because of the nonsense with the LS-1 cars. I drive my Lightning all year. Rust Check is great and keeps it looking fine underneath. I bought the Bridgestone Winter dueler tires and I honestly really like them. Nice control and great traction in the snow/ice.

Tundra, I got mine last June but I have not been to the track yet. I wanted to get a lot more familiar with it before I started running it full out. My last car had no where near this kind of power and I didn't want to do anything stupid with it. I am now waiting to take it out in the spring.
