I think I just set the world record for the shortest amount of miles that someone went through a set of F1 tires on a lightning from driving on them, not puncturing them.

I didn't put enough miles on my lightning this year to warrant an OIL CHANGE, but somehow those pesky F1's on the back, which were new in the spring, and bald.
Basically I took a set of new F1's and made them bald in under 3000 miles. Now I'm sure some will say that they have slicks or track tires that only have a few miles on them with HEavy heavy burnouts that went bald quicker, but these were my everyday driving tires.

I beat my old record by over 1000 miles.

All I have to say, is GAWD I LOVE the 4.10 GEARS! 30mph, 1/2 throttle, tires spin, WOT and the tires go up in smoke. muah ah ah ah ah

Mabey you got a bad set of tires my lightning has a JDM built engine 600+ horsepower and 15000 plus miles on original f1 goodyears and lots of thread left do burn outs every day or so.

I must be a whimpy driver, 28k on my original F1's and still running.

 

Like a wild animal.. I like to mark my territory daily.

Except I leave two really really long black strips on the street.

 

1st (and only) set of F1's 16K - no BO, or much wheel spin, just wore out.
2nd set Toyo - great looking, OK ride, 40K, but the noise....unbelievable.
3rd set Hankook - not as aggressive looking, but NO noise, plus great ride and handling.......

when i got my first red truck i think i went thru the f1s in like 1000miles. i did a burnout everyplace i could lol....man it was fun but expensive.

 

Auh, that's nothing I put Nitto 555R's on after 1500 miles on my '03. Although I guess that doesn't count anymore since I sold it.

Let's see I just bought the '99 12400 miles now, does the original 12k count

Glad I asked about your mods, at least I can budget for tires 3000 miles from now.

I ate mine up in a weekend of street racing and forgetting to put the required air back in them. They hooked great and got bald quick!
