Red face wreaked

Need some input from poeple, who have hurt thier lightnings. I bumped back of car,3mph-5mph. Bent bumper little to the right , cracked lower grill, and got bottom conner of finder. All readly turned in to ins. and gone to dealer. $1378 is cost of repair(668 for bumper parts + lobor, $169 right finder + lobor, then paint work). But problem is the dealer says it will be 7-10 days to get parts. Has anyone had or having same problem. Hate waiting. Truck still drives great, and friends do not see untill I point it out. Can only hope parts get here sooner.

Yeah I have hurt my Lightning, I actually had it done for me, my friend was driving at the time. Yeah, we are still friends. Anyhow, Lightning + Moose + -45F + ice + 50 mph. That was Jan 5th, and I need lots-0-parts, including the intercooler. They all just came in, 2 more weeks at the shop.

unfortunatly you will probably need to wait . Sorry but its just a mental thing. A week isnt really all that long, but I understand how you feel.

You guys are stronger than me, I had to use puppy dog eyes to get the guy at my paint shop to fix the fender where I got keyed. She stayed broke for 3 days...I couldn't take it anymore.

had mine hit by a ford ranger...the driver said that the truck must have popped out of gear...somehow i just don't believe it...anyway, after bringing the truck in for repair, Nov. 8, we ended up waiting until Dec . 8 to get it back...we had been told that between waiting for parts and the right peerson to be available to work on it, that was what took so long, funny thing, was going to pick up truck a week earlier, but somebody had sent the wrong bumper....after all this i am glad that they took their time cause the truck looks as good as new...after $5000 worth of damage had been repaired

had mine hit by a ford ranger, set up a date of nov.8 to take it in and get fixed, and while waiting they would order the parts and because they were lightning specialty parts (yea right), they would take a while to come in...called SVT and they said that the only basic body parts that were special were the air dams and other fairing type parts...well got it in for repair and ended waiting until dec.8 to pick it up....the day i was to pick it up they told me that they had the wrong bumper and i would have to wait another week..not a very happy camper here!!
in the long run though it was worth the wait
because she looks like brand new...don't be anxious...remember good things come to those who wait....or something like that

Hate to hear the bad news I believe I had almost the same damage on mines, except I also bent the trans cooler. This happened before Christmas, and the dealer got the parts this past Monday. I should be getting it back tomorrow or Monday. The dealer said what took the longest was the bumper, had to make it from scratch.
