I would appreciate advice on these two tuning tools.

Just bought the '99, immediate mods will consist of - 5 lb lower pulley, filter, throttle body, tune, catback, valvebody (taking it easy to start).

Then I will go from there. No Kenne Bell before buying the L this time

Any preferences out there - I don't see any glaring differences, but I could be missing something?

I have owned both. The main question is - what does the tuner you want to go with use? Most use one or the other and some tune both. If your tuner does both, I'd pick the Xcal2 everytime. It uploads and switches tunes 2 or 3 times faster than the Predator. It also has an input that can take a wideband signal and datalog it with all your other truck stats.

lets see Ive known about 8 trucks with blown motors using diablo, and 0 with SCT. I will never own anything but SCT.

 

get with matias on the SCT stuff down that way.
