head and cam set up

Stage 3 patriot heads stage 2 crower cams any 1 have this set up hows it doing for you....

I know the LS1 heads are great but Ive heard mixed reports on both L and LS1 heads. so beware. Just me .02$

HI!... I'm running FOX LAKE STAGE II (CNC ported) cylinder heads with :

- CROWER "BEEHIVE" springs.
- CROWER retainers.
- COMP-CAMS custom ground 0.599/0.599 lift, 234/234 duration.
- MANGANESE BRONZE guides
- MODMAX valve seals.
- FERREA S/S one piece sodium filled oversized undercut valves.
- Hardened valve seats.
- New stock roller followers.
- New stock hydraulic lifters.

I have what were experimental cams at the time, since I was one of the first to do cams on my motor. Mine are basically a Crower stage 3 cam with some of the duration taken out of them. My heads are just hand ported, and gasket matched. Along with bigger valves and crower springs.

There have been a lot of advancement in the porting of the heads since mine were done, but I am happy with my setup.

i have whatever cams come in a JDM longblock along with whatever heads. Has worked great for me and its previous owner ran a 6.86 1/8 the other night on 555rs
