Race Tested

First let me say that I do not own a Racetested kit nor have I ever seen one. Most of you know me from the boards and know me to be a fair man; I also am the mediator for lightningrodder.com

Here is a thought Race tested, why don't you take the time to come out to a Rob02's or a Fast Gators truck that have your kit installed wrong. Show them how it's supposed to be and show us all how it's supposed to work.

Heck I think between the entire Lightning world we could pitch in and get you a plane ticket! This way you can show us all how we are incapable of doing your installation right. Further, you can show these guys that bought your superior kit what they paid for!

What say you Lightning world?
What say you Racetested?

God Bless,

One would think if Racetested intends to compete for the Lightning market that they would at the very least have a demo truck. It would show the kit's potential and a comparison to a good US kit(NX or NOS) would be very helpful.
I am in the market for a power adder(N2O or larger SC) and nothing so far has led me to believe all the hype of this "superior" nitrous setup. I am however open o more info.

As soon as I get my camera fixed I'll take detailed pics of Mistergadget's Racetested kit. He was a big critic of Denny and his setup, and Denny sent him a kit to try. Well, he cut 3 tenths off his best time vs. his old NX kit, and he's one happy camper. Matias is VERY meticulous when it comes to wrenching, so I guess his install would be considered accetable.

2 sides to every coin I suppose.

I'll get pics up when I can.

I don't have a problem doing this at all as I have done it in the past and the car put down a record run and has not blew a nylon line since. The braided main nitrous line blew on a dyno from what I was told by the tuner. So much for braided lines being so great!

At the same time what am I suppose to accomplish because if we keep going on about hp numbers, then I am so over that subject. If you want to talk about E.T's which drag racing is all about then I'm game. BUT if this is the case then what do I have to prove on Rob's truck as our kit has already proven itself with him and his truck. His motor has never been able to run nitrous reliably this year so we have nothing to go on but dyno number which mean very little to us. Gators truck was on it's way to a great run also, so again what do you want me to prove as the results in the 1320 are there?

No offense to anyone (Inc Rob) but with all the problems he's had that is not a reliable test subject...

You need someone who has run consistent times, familar with the truck and can datalog whatever information you need.

typhoon, I agree with you 100% and as I said this is not a slam against Racetested! Heck maybe one day I will sell their products or at least race with it. Further, when they see what I'm running next year they will probably call me!

However, One of the main reasons I made my request is to help them! I tried to help Denny in the past on one of the other boards.

In my business I had a repeat customer who had some issues with his truck in the dead of Michigan winter. The only time I was available to help him was about 2:30 am. So needles to say I was wrenching on his truck at 3am out side in almost zero degree weather. That's what builds customer loyalty!

God Bless,

Suavy

Hi Denny, think about what I asked of you and you will see its just good business.

I did not make my statement out of emotion I made it from a professional standpoint. I am a businessman who manages for one of the big 3 and who has a couple of college degrees to go with it.

Just trying to help you and keep the peace,

God Bless,

Suavy

I appreciate that Suavy but considering Sal and Gator refuse to even call me (which is FREE) as they stated in their e-mails, good luck on paying for my ticket and services.

Besides that I don't expect customers to have to pay for that extra help. That's why I designed a detailed manual and am availabel 7 days a week for questions. Just follow the instructions and if anything gets messed up give me a call.

One would think that with this kit being the most expensive on the market (from what I have seen at least) that it wouldn't be having the major issues that it has had. I had a silly little purple box in my truck, same kit Rob used to run and never had an issue for a single day I owned it for the year and a half I ran it, and I was able to sell it to someone else who has not had a single issue with it either. It just seems like a very pricey kit to have these major issues, lines blowing, controllers not functioning, that is simply what I have read though. Even if it is a small amount of people having these problems (3 from what I have read) none of those issues have been resolved, and for the price these kits go for that seems unfair. Who knows, maybe I am way off, but the kit with a price tag this high should really never have these issues. Thats my .02 cents.
