Question ? for Colorado guys/gals

I live in Ft. Wroth, Texas right not but when im out of school in May I plan on moving to Colorado. I have been looking at apts in Aurora, Lakewood, Westminister, Co. Springs, and Littleton. I was curioud on how my truck is going to run at a higher altitude. I know when i take my moms Tahoe to New Mexico to ski its considerably slower and runs like sh*t. Is this only in the mountains or in the valleys as well? Since i should be moving in May I figure that gives me about a year to find a 4x4 truck for the winter and park the L b/c I really do not want to get rid of her. Any help would be appreicated.

You will notice a power loss, unfortunatley. my truck runs MUCH better at lower altitudes than up here in Denver.
Check out www.rmftc.com if you are coming this way .

Dang for me thats a big sacrafice. I love being in Colorado but I also LOVE having a fast truck. I may end up selling some things and buying a 4x4 if I can save up by then.
