Woo Fricking Hooo....

FYI: I passed the Bar Exam!

I finished law school in May, Took the Michigan July Bar exam, got my results today! I passed. Started at a Law Firm Yesterday....

This is going to be a good winter for modding!

WHAT SHOULD I DO?
Built engine? Monster Box (I don't want to hear about your problems), Whipple? KB? Turbo? Roll bar? Cage? 4-Link?

JLP has a great price on engines, VT engines is in my backyard, literally. PSP has been phenomenal to me with parts, service and tuning.

I'm thinking a VT engine, monster box, cage, with a S/C and nitrous and PSP tuning

Turbo's would be real nice, but I can't justify spending that amount of money over a KB or whipple.

It is for now... but this year I only got to put about 2000 miles on it.. now it's about time to park it. I still have that MOD bug and wasn't satisifed by driving it this year. (you'd think taking 3 days to put on those bassani shorty headers would've done it, but no)

I am impressed that my truck went 12.5 @110mph, considering the parts I have on it and the conservative tune... but a 11.5 would be fun also.

CAn you say easy 11's, possible 10's on a stock longblock?? Look at Frank5L!

But if money is really an issue, then KB should definetly be your 2nd choice. Whipple should automatically be outta the question. But anyway, good luck in whatever path you take.

Congrats! Studying for the Bar Exam was the worst 2 months of my life - glad I didn't have to do it more than once.

Little advice - don't go crazy spending just yet. I saw many law school friends run out and buy new cars, new homes, etc., and get up to their eyeballs in debt right out of school. Wait a while, enjoy the new paycheck, and take things slowly for a while. Getting over your head on the bills is very easy as a new lawyer!

Congrats on passing the bar. IMO if money isn't an option, I would go with an aluminum 4 valve with a single 88mm turbo, BTS tranny (just so there's no worrying) and possibly a 4-link. The stock suspension has proven itself time and time again though. I have pulled a few high 1.4x 60's with nothing more than a leaf removed, QA-1's, 2" shackles and rancho bars.
