We would just like to thank everyone who made it out to JDM day this year. We had a bigger turn out than I can remember in past years. Over 100 vehicles, I think the count was 111. Over 660 passes were made Friday, I saw alot of guys make 10+ passes the whole day. Track prep was great, thank you E Town again for the use of the track and quality of the venue and providing top notch employees. I had a good time bringing the cars up to the line I know the official tree guys (V and Capt. O) had a good time too, as always very professional guys. I think we ran it better than they do on some of the normal track nights...lol JK im not quiting my Day job. Shaun and Spec had the water boxes clean and made sure there were'nt any one wheel pealers burning up their posi, I saw some but they were there to help.

Thanks to Shaun's family Dad, Mom, Uncle, and Aunt who provided the buffet of Chicken Marsala, Stuffed Shells, Salad, beverages and Dessert. Everyone ate well! They had enough for 80 people and the food ran out half way through, we ended up getting 15 pies from a local pizza shop.

Anyone get a video of the pinto almost going over, that was Shauns uncle, he got everything figured out and ran a 12.2 with half a motor! Just kidding Im earning a new respect for 4 bangers, from that pinto and Shauns work in progress, the SVO 2.3 turbo car.

There were alot of new bests, good test and tune, good people and good eats. Good conversations, good times, and most importantly with good people. We are already planning for next year, considering making it a 2 day event like a thursday/ friday or friday/ saturday. The guys at the track said about another 80-100 cars and we could do it. Have a bracket class, grudge races, test and tune, etc...possibilities are endless. Also we want to higher a professional video guy to make videos of each car making 1/4 mile runs and then making cds right at the track to take home and veiw for your pleasure. I know some of my videos didnt come out so well as anyone who has seen them knows I have problems keeping the camera steady...lol


This was the 5th annual and we plan on many more to come, bigger and better. This year was exceptionally a good time. Thanks for all who made it out and to all those who wanted to but couldn't I suggest anyone who has never been to try and make it next year.

You guys don't need to thank us! If it weren't for the incredible support we get from tuners/vendors like you, these trucks wouldn't be nearly as fun or special as they are. I'm bummed that I missed the "actual" JDM day, but the rain day "pretend" JDM day was still awsome. Thats wild that you guys pony'd up the time labor and food to make it happen until the weather coperated.

And while a 2 day big event would be crazy, I just hope it doesn't ruin the intimate "family" type atmosphere that is JDM day. Vinnie running the lanes, Don's Bolt coaching burnouts, the Lacko family feast, I mean.....what more can you ask for??????????

 

JDM i will be there next year too.. hopefully i wont have any unfortunate blowouts next time.. Jim jr. if you can send me some pics and the videos before and after my blowouts.. id like to see my 12.2 run it was my best et and best mph so far at 110.. also my best 60' 1.69.. i would greatly appreciate it. and again thank you for a wonderful day i just wish i was able to enjoy it more by making more passes down the track,. but hey it aint racing unless you break something.. ill also be seein you guys maybe this week for a couple sets of plugs i need TR6's..
