Stupid question of the hour: Did you put blower oil in it?

you answered that in a question format. did you buy one preassebled? go and check to make sure if you did not put fluid in it. pull the allen screw out the front and check to make sure the fluid is level with the screw hole. I noticed that my MP ran hotter, but I also upgraded the amount of boost I was pushing. with the 2.73 upper and the 6 pound lower I see a little over 16 lbs of boost.

yes I bought it preassembled from charles and if I pull the cap it wont leak out right. I just think its strange that it runs so hot compaired to my eaton and I didn't even pull much boost when I drove home. And it only takes my 12 minutes to get there and it was that hot.

that fluid level is fine if it is just below the screw fitting. that would not cause it to overheat. If you have a predator, check the IAT2 temps. make sure they aren't going throught the roof. also ensure the boost bypass valve is working right. if it isn't, it'll put the engine under continuous load at all times, not good. you can check this by starting the engine and making sure the valve is all the way up, and then rev the engine quickly and you shoud see the valve arm drop quickly and go back up. if the arm is down at all times, the position its in when the engine is off. the engine is under load at all times.
