ah, gotcha. Maybe I was thinking of the magnaflow true dual. my mistake. The magnaflows sound pretty darn good even with the stock cats and manifolds.

Build your own 3" exhaust off of some long tubes.

I know it was the mustang but driving down the road with open headers (408 stroker and long tubes ) was pretty darn loud .

I just got the Bassani BX cat-back on my 99' L,I like the way it sounds.Im getting a 4.10 gear installed and that will make it louder because of the higher cruising rpm's I guess.

It will get louder as you drive it. It took mine 3-4 months to fully break in.
