Pillar pods
Pillar pods
Yes I sat here last night and searched, but I'm getting a bunch of different answers. I know there's been problems with certain pillar pods not fitting 03/04 Ls. Is there any that fit WITHOUT having to change it?? Any help would be appreciated... Thanks in advance.

you will prob have to adjust any one you get to fit a little better. i had a LoTek pod and all i had to do was take a heat gun to it and twist it a bit and it fit pretty damn good
i just kept matching it up to the stock one and i got it pretty close
hope this kinda answers your question

I also used the Lo-Tek the color match was good and fit was good granted mine is a 2002 but similar to yours even a buddy of mine with a later 02 with different grab handles all was fine.
I also think the a-nal factor comes into play some people want perfection for free you get what you pay for and than some with this pillar pod ,plus where the little gaps are going to be is on the roof I don't think you'll be looking up there too much..But you never know I don't know what your into..lol j/k
The advice I will give you is make a nice wiring harness inside the pod if not the wires rattle and will drive you nuts I didn't do this at first and then I made a nice little harness with the bullet connectors if a guage ever goes bad it will just be plug and play for the replacment..It's alittle more work but worth it in my opinion
Good Luck

LA,
I installed the lotek pillar pod in my 03 a couple months ago. I trimmed the top a lil bit instead of using a heat gun.Its just a lil long on the top side and needs either trimmed or heated to fit perfect. Other than that I have no complants.

I intalled a lotek three gauge pod on my 03 shaped the top with a belt sander. Worked very well, sand a little, test fit, sand some more, test and sand until it fits the way you want. The belt sander works very fast and leaves a smooth edge.
Lotek triple here also. Just heated up the top and molded it a little. Color match was very close. I just left a little gap at the top front near headliner, you can't see it anyway no big deal to me. I have heard of bottom pods hitting dash, don't know which pod manufacturer though.
What style gauges were you thinking of getting?
Phantom here with "blue lightbulb" mod. Color is a dead match to stock cluster.
I have WBC / Boost / (oil + water + trans) - one gauge w/ triple switch

autometer
i used an auto meter 3 guage pod. I had to use the stock a piller to attach it. What i had to do was gut the center section of the stock pod to make room for the guages. Left the center piece where it attaches and the outside shell.
I think it fits better than any guage pod i've seen.
