Hey guys [kinda] newbie here ! just bought myself a 03 lightning, silver and stock ! i have around 6 g's to put into the engine and the other 4 g's is going into the exterior/interior department. My question is what can i get for 6 g's ? what will the lightning be able to do down the quarter and what parts do i nedd to buy ? i already know i will need a kb and many jdm products but any info would be def apreciated, thanks.

 

I would get a built lower block and KB... then some headers and a tune, any money left over, suspension... id worry about the interior later... just me though...

You should be able to runs 10's NO PROBLEM. I calculated it once and I have about $19,500 into my lightning (including purchase price) and it runs real strong (mid-12's) is reliable, never had a problem and just turned 29,000 miles.

Kinda gives you an idea...

I tried to buy as many parts used as I could, Like:
6# lower, JLP Ram Air intake, Bassani Headers...
Things that it doesn't matter if it's used or not.

Mechanical things like the factory tech valve body, I purchased new, Just because i wanted the warranty. but a 6# lower is just a chunk of aluminum, no need to pay full price.

Six grand at JDM wont get you far. Have you seen there prices. One word ...Crazy.
