How often do you go WOT????
How often do you go WOT????
This does not include runs at the track, because....well that's obvious.
I don't drive my truck but maybe two days a week ....and that is in rush hour traffic....so not much chance for me to hop on it.
The other morning it was about 65 degrees and I had just stopped and picked up some coffee.....figured after I did a U-turn I would just punch it and see how she feels in the cool air.......
The truck just took off like a raped ape.....felt soooooo strong - made my day.
How often do you guys go WOT???? I think I drive like a granny sometimes.

Wot
At least once a week, that's how often my truck gets out to flex. I've got a beater that I drive most of the week. WOT usually only occurs after 60 MPH, otherwise the F1's go up in flames.

That's so funny I was wondering the same thing about other L owners. The even funnier part is the more I think about taking it easy on the truck the more I'm gettin' down on it. I usually get on it a couple times when I take it out but I try to roll on the throttle smooth if I'm going slow or from a dead stop so I don't spin the tires. I've spun the tires a total of twice so I go WOT but I would never think about beating on it to the point of doing line locks or donuts.
If I'm driving passed say one of those ice cream/burger joints and there's a crowd outside and I go WOT and spin the super charger up, all heads turn.
That's always impossible to resist. But lately I have been being super-mellow on it. The last three times I drove it I don't think I got into the positive boost on the boost gauge.
To me I just can't see how going WOT on what's sold as a "performance" vehicle could be classified as "beating on it". Line locks/donuts/going sideways spinning the wheels 'all the time'.....I consider that beating on it.

i usually go WOT about once a week. im living in wyoming right now going to school, and its kind of depressing when i get on it. the elevation here is 7200ft, and with a 6lb pulley i only see 10lbs of boost. back home in ga i seen 14lbs with only a 4lb.
I have a L swap on my Supercrew running 12psi and evertime I drive it I have to mash the pedal...the low end snort that the s/c makes has to be enjoyed evertime I drive it..now since gas prices have dropped 60 cents I drive it all the time and enjoy the power that it produces...why have the performance if you cant enjoy it?
Yeah, you guys that only go WOT once every few days or even month kill me!
I'm hitting WOT a few times a day... On the way to work, maybe once on the way to lunch, on the way coming back from lunch, on the way back home....
